Hostess was a little put off when we asked to sit by the window and there were tables available (even tho she said there weren't). But it was visibly obvious. Server was hard to hear given the restaurant noise. Food and venue were great!

When you're spending $100 per person you expect service to be a little sharper and more refined, even if the place is trendy casual. Food was really good but not fantastic. Crab fried rice was uninspired. Dinner rolls were out of this world. Must try!!! Steak was ok. Good flavor. Slightly overcooked. I think it's one of those places that if you go again it's probably better so I wouldn't rule out a repeat visit and I would still recommend it.

We were outside so read this review in that light. The ambient noise was minimal and conversation was easy. The food quality was excellent and the flavors were superb. The service was a little slow and slightly discombobulated. We did get our wine but quite a period of time after our food arrived. Overall despite this one issue we enjoyed our meal and our time at The Kitchen. Many thanks.

It is too loud, they need better acoustics. I understand the higher ceiling but it's too loud.

We were visiting from out of town and were excited to visit this place due to the good reviews of the food. The food was very good, however our waiter Ryan was VERY rude, unprofessional, and had a flat affect our entire time we were there. Also, very short when speaking to us. also, we waited quite a bit to get our drink order and food order.

My friends and I, loved this place. We enjoyed a wonderful view, food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. Kyle B. and the Argentinian waiter were indeed our favorite people. They made our experience feel welcoming and fun, also giving the perfect suggestion for food.

Had the cabbage, asparagus, cod, mussels and octopus. All were great!

Decent meal. Horrible service. We sat outside overlooking the river which was nice, but our waitress took about 20 minutes to come take our order and, despite our explicit request that our desert come later, the churros came out at the same time as our mains and ended up being cold.

I came for my bachelorette dinner, and we just had the most wonderful experience! The food was spectacular, the service was fantastic, and I would highly recommend this restaurant to others.

The food was okay nothing insane but the service was amazing and they were super kind in celebrating my boyfriends birthday!

Brunch: Great atmosphere! Very luxurious with great views of the river. The quality of the food doesn't quite match the grandeur of the space. The execution is more Chillies Two, and the dishes themselves just miss the mark. This was brunch, so I can't speak to the quality of dinner. I would recommend it based on the atmosphere alone, I bet cocktails on the river would be fantastic here in the summer, but don't expect to be blown away by the menu. Go for the basics, the vibe, and the views.

We bought out a room for 25 people, and the team was incredible! Everyone was very helpful, gracious, and FAST!! Brittany and Sammy are very helpful when planning a large event and I’d highly recommend working with them in the future!

The food’s presentation and flavor was great, but the portion sizing was a bit all over the place (be sure to ask your waiter the size of a dish before ordering). Most of the options are intended for sharing; going with a larger group will allow you to taste a wide variety of the menu.

Real sleek spot—nice River North energy without feelin’ too bougie. Spent about $60 on the lamb meatballs, scallops, and a bourbon-based cocktail. Food was solid, well-plated, and flavors hit, but portions ran a bit light for the price. Service was friendly, maybe a little slow once it got busy. Great date night vibe or pre-show dinner. Not everyday eats, but def worth a visit for a lil splurge.
