Went there yesterday for my friends 50th birthday brunch. Place is small on inside, they sat us in back near kitchen and bathrooms. This really wasn't an issue until the server brought out Mimosas and I looked down and seen something moving. I asked what is that? server said she didn't know and stepped on it and picked it up with a napkin. It was a Roach....we got out coats and left without even ordering. I had heard the food was good and was really looking forward to eating some good food! Needless to say I will never be back! I have never been to a restaurant and seen a roach so hopefully management will see this and try to rectify this or at least turn up the lights in there and that might keep them from coming out of their hiding places!

Went to Chicago last weekend and was in need of good soul food. This place was a 10 out of 10! Every worker there treated us like family, they were helpful, patience, and kind. The food was just as good, I ordered chicken, macaroni, greens, cornbread, and a drink. Everything exceeded my expectations and I want to travel there again just for this spot.

Ohmygoodness! This restaurant had the best food that I have had in a very long time. I ordered the mac and cheese, grits and chicken wings. Each item was delicious, perfectly seasoned without having to add anything to it and generous portions. Our server, Davi, was amazing. Explained everything, was attentive without being annoying. Thank you for a wonderful experience! Only negative was that after multiple searches, I could not determine if they took reservations or not (one site said yes, another said they take walk-ins; Open table had everything booked). Upon arrival, we were asked if we had a reservation. We did not, but were seated immediately. So glad we ignored the websites.
We came around 7 the guy host was great.The Mac and cheese was good but the turkey tips were full of fat and sweet potatoes weren’t good. My dad didn’t care for his dinner either and he is easier to please with food. Our waitress was nice but so forgetful. We spent $200 got points but won’t be back

Food was good just very small portion. 3 wings and 3 corners of a waffle. I walked in late to a party, not the best greeting. I felt wrong for coming. No body spoke and i said hi im here for a party of such and such. Every body you interact w is not trying to talk to you.
I order food. It was good. Drinks was super sugary Customer service was horrendous. The manager was using the ladies restroom, i knocked on the door to let them know two ppl are waiting. The manager was using it then she denied her hands under the dryer while customers are clinching holding piss while she drying her hands. One stall one sink type of bathroom. You would thing the manager could use a towel while ppl using the one stall they have. She came out the restroom and said it’s rude for a man to bang on the door? I said after my friend tried to gon downstairs in heels just to find that bathroom occupied and came back up, she was still in there taking her precious time. Mind you the restaurant was empty. Only ppl there were staff AND I SEE WHY. i would never even walk past this place. I for sure would never spend another dollar there. I honestly want a refund and to erase the memory from my mind. Customer service alone. I’d never trust ppl w bad energy to prepare my food again.

I recently visited The L Station, and I have to say it was by far one of the best places I’ve been to in a long time. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality that immediately made me feel at home.
The food? Absolutely incredible. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, extremely flavorful and beautifully presented. Whether you're a foodie or just someone looking for a great meal, this place delivers on every level. The service was outstanding Malik was attentive without being overbearing, and so knowledgeable. As an out-of-towner, I really appreciated the thoughtful recommendations. It’s clear the staff love what they do and want every guest to have the best experience possible.
The ambiance struck the perfect balance between cozy and classy ideal for a relaxed dinner, a date night, or even a solo treat.
I left feeling truly taken care of, impressed, and honestly, just so happy. The L Station is a gem, and I can’t wait to come back next time I’m in town!

I was disappointed in the entire choice. 28.99 for 4 wings and 2 premium sides (Mac and Mash potatoes)…the only thing good was the cobbler and the potato especially . I love soul food and it definitely needs improvement. Totally disappointed in food and it wasn’t like I came during closing. I posted a picture of the food I received. I ordered something simple.

We loved our meal. Our server (I forgot to re-ask her name 😥) said she was newish but she did great. She answered all our questions and the service was really good. The food was so tasty! I only regret we were not able to take our doggy bags because we weren't going home right away. Thanks so much!! I will definitely be back. 🤩

I dropped in recently and had a pleasant, soulful evening. The food was full of flavor and comforting, though a few dishes felt a little over-spiced for my taste.
