The Lakefront Restaurant at Theater on the Lake

We ordered the Cobb salad, fish and chips, and tacos. All were very fresh and delicious. The ambience is amazing. We sat outside, very relaxing. The server was very pleasant. Great experience!

Beautiful views and laid back vibe early on a Monday- great cocktail and food! We will be back.

I met a friend who was in town for lunch at The Lakefront restaurant. We sat outdoors along the lake side in the shade. It was a glorious day. Perfection. Our server was delightful, our chicken sandwich was delicious and we were able to easily visit and catch up. I can't wait to go back and sit outdoors again before the snow falls. Nothing better in Chicago than an outdoor lunch, and this is a gem of a location to enjoy that lunch.

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our brunch outside on the lakeside of the restaurant. The weather was perfect too. Our server was friendly and helpful and gave us privacy too. Our meal could not have been more delicious and beautifully presented. Also, the meal was a great value. We enjoyed everything about this special place.

Great brunch menu in beautiful lake front setting. Food quantity is overwhelming. Service was great. We moved from indoor tables to outside for deserts. Prices were very reasonable.

The Lakefront is one of the few places to dine and take advantage of Chicago's beautiful lakefront. I was amazed at how affordable it was though some items were expensive. The view of the lake and the thousands of people who passed before our eyes running, jogging biking was exceptional. very entertaining. We decided to stay inside but it felt like we were right there enjoying the lake with everyone who paraded in front of us.

Our dinner service took a long time considering there were not a lot of people in the restaurant. We waited almost 20 min to just get our drinks. Once the food got there it was pretty good.

A fabulous outdoor Labor Day lunch, with breathtaking Lake Michigan views! The dishes were fresh and delightful, including the raw oysters, cheese plate, fish n chips, halibut, and chicken pesto sandwich. We also enjoyed fine champagne. Elizabeth was the perfect server. We just wish the full weekday menu we had today was also available on weekends. Jason makes it special.

Great casual restaurant with wonderful food year round. Especially nice outside in the summer overlooking the lake. Added perk; one of few nice restaurants in area with parking.

Very good food and amazing location. Interior can be a bit loud so not a great place for that quiet romantic dinner. Outdoor seating is pleasant but furniture is dated and wobbly. This could be improve with relatively little effort and cost on their end. Valet parking for the location is a good value.
