This is a nice, small breakfast/brunch spot in the Woodlawn community. This was my 1st time. I got the grit flight(my fav is the pot roast grits). Service was amazing and so was the chef. They close at 2:30p so it’s truly a breakfast/brunch place. I’ll for sure be back to try something else and that mimosa flight

Today was my first time at lawn breakfast bar. Went for brunch. No waiting for table. Tables were too small. Service staff were polite but I had to ask for things like silverware, more coffee, syrup, salt, etc. I'm not going to make excuses for that because there were about 6 people seated while I was there so staff could have been more attentive. My table mate said she didn't feel the love. Lol. Grits flight brunch was very good. Will go back again inspite of inattentive staff. Of course staff got friendlier when it was time for the bill. Lol. No cash accepted. Just cards. Which was fine with us.

Friendly neighborhood breakfast spot with some of the best homemade pancakes I’ve had in a while! Will definitely return. It’s a very intimate space and we caught them at the right time before the rush.

Second time coming here…first time to meet the owners and second time to actually dine in. Space was busy upon arrival and we couldn’t help but look at all that was being ordered and taken to tables (took pics of that too). The server and cook provided us with their top choices and we ordered some of them! Everything on our plates disappeared as everything was so good-even down to the eggs was so good! Will be back to order even more and bring others too!

Service and food was terrible! The cooks had a lackluster demeanor in terms of customer service. The meal was so greasy and disgusting to the point that I couldn't even consume it! I keep attempting to support Black owned businesses but, leave disappointed... The only good thing about our visit was the server. Please treat the patrons of your community better!!!

I just finished eating at this place and I certainly had a great experience! The food took about 15 minutes to arrive at the table (I timed it ) and the atmosphere was very welcoming and chic. We got the grit flight and the fried catfish.
Grit flight : Very well seasoned, great down-home flavors , great presentation! However, the portion seemed a bit small for the price. Maybe a full size pancake( pancake was the size of 2 half dollars - not as the others that have reviewed prior to mine), or a slightly bigger bowl (for the grits) would have elevated the dish to the next level !
Fried catfish: Golden , seasoned to perfection. I would have enjoyed a simple white plate to elevate this presentation. Fries were slightly undercooked and a bit greasy … but I still enjoyed them
Overall, I recommend this place but not if you are extremely hungry . This place has excellent potential and would love to see its growth in the future!
