If there’s a restaurant that captures everything about Chicago, it’s The Leavitt.

- A not so busy neighborhood joint
- Wood bar with a little gristle
- Incredible burgers
- A few TVs for sports
- And a nice selection of adult sodas to numb a good Bear loss
We wanted to go out to celebrate my brother and he saw that this place seemingly has the best smash burgers.
Unfortunately we were unable to reserve and we heard it gets busy so we came at 4 on a Saturday, and although they didn’t have indoor seating the outdoor seating was available and heated.
The staff was super friendly and the menus were online which made it a little confusing but super easy to pay.
For drinks, we had to fill up our own water...
Amazing food - however be ready to wait 90 minutes. Multiple tables around us complained, and a couple of them event left early. We loved the atmosphere and beers, so weren’t too bothered by the wait. But it was definitely excessive.
