Unfortunately, I have to change my rating. This place gets written up as one of the best burgers in the city. It used to be. It's not anymore. I would not recommend it.The burger used to be juicy and flavorful; the burger tonight was dry and flavorless. The sauces, pickles and onions used to complement the taste of the meat. Now, the sauces seem to be used to mask the lack of flavor and over compensate for the patty being over cooked.I had not been back in quite some time, but something, clearly, has changed. I suspect it is the blend of ground beef.$27 for a burger was always a bit much, but it used to be justified. Now it is not. I simply cannot pay that price for this kind of cheeseburger.I never send anything back, but I had to send back the burger. The second one was cooked slightly better, but again, it did not justify the price. It still lacks flavor. On the other hand, David was great and took care of us. I really want to like this place. I really want to recommend the burger, but right now, I cannot.

Simple salad - make sure everyone gets their own burgers (it’s better than au cheval but smaller in size)It seems most of the bad reviews are related to service but food is good!

Went here for my fiancé's birthday dinner and it was awesome! The staff does a great job making sure you feel special without being over-the-top. There was a cute handwritten happy birthday card on the table when we arrived which I thought was very sweet. We started with the caramelized dates (phenomenal bite of food), and we shared the French smash and the OG cheeseburger (recommended by the waiter). Highly recommend ordering one of each and sharing so you can try both. Your gut reaction is going to tell you to go for the OG, which you should, BUT do not be afraid to try the French smash. Both burgers were very well-balanced with their own elements that made them delicious and yet well-balanced. I didn't feel like I had been overly glutinous after eating. The fries also reminded me of McDonald's fries but in the best way possible. Light crispiness without being too soft on the inside. Also, ordered a couple of classic cocktails (dirty martini & Moscow mule) which were also solid. We couldn't decide if we wanted to try the Baba Au Rhum or the chocolate chip cookie. Our waiter, David (who was amazing), told us to order the Baba Au Rhum and then kindly brought us a chocolate chip cookie to enjoy as well free of charge. Finished the night off with a couple of complimentary mezcal based birthday shots and a birthday candle.Overall, the atmosphere, the food and the service were a *chefs kiss* for me. Can't wait to go back!

Went to celebrate a family occasion. Loved the warm welcome, ambience and the food. Ordered the OG cheeseburger and was not disappointed. But the Baba Ah Rhum literally took the cake for us and was the perfect way to end the brunch. One of us was vegetarian. Options were limited but they were kind enough to customize entree options for us.Vegetarian options: No entree options for brunch but they were nice enough to customize entree orders for us to make it veg. We ended up chosing one of the veg option from the starter section

Fabulous food, drinks, and the service was also great! One of the best burgers, if not the best burger, I ever had. Tried two of the house cocktails and both were incredible. I was just in town for the weekend but look forward to returning the next time I am in Chicago.

It was very underwhelming we started with dates and caviar deviled egg it was ok the French onion soup was horrific the pate choux on top was a hunk of un cooked pastry the cheese was a glop “ the broth “ no balance just a bunch of carmalized onions. We tried both burgers , they were both inedible

Didn't quite get it. It was average. Food was overpriced for what it was. Tried the Burger because that is what they are known for and at $25 it was underwhelming. Wife tried it plain with cheese and said it was wildly similar in taste to a McDonald's hamburger. Sorry but have to be honest on this one.

$25 for a mediocre tiny burger?? That's so goofy. Try red hot ranch instead...
