I love this place, it's the oldest active movie theatre in the city and should be given landmark status if it hasn't already. I really hope it doesn't close down, that will be a huge blow to the neighborhood and the city in general.
A quaint, old theater. Sound was still great. Seats could use a refresh (if you're sensitive about that in your watching experience)It still provides a great, small community feel to your movie night. And the snacks are cheaper than the big name places! It's a great place to watch a movie and support local historical business without feeling like you're sacrificing quality for supporting your community
Love the 400! It's the oldest theater in the city, tickets are the most affordable in the city, and it has an old charm that can only be described by locals giving it love. It's basically the opposite of the Evanston AMC which is what makes me come back year after year. Shop local and support the community, the 400 is a must for North Side movie goers.
