Love this place & have been going there for 27 yrs. The polishes are good, the 🍟 are a little gummy but they've been like that for as long as I've been going there. The service is fast as well. This is my only complaint- at any given time of the day or night you will see homeless or druggies begging for money. Maxwell should address this issue & stop allowing them to harass the customers. Stop them from being able to hang around where you order the food.

Parking: There's enough to fit at least 10+ cars.

It's good to park close order your food and go with a couple people there's a lot of homeless people that stand outside of that place but the food is good only bad thing about this place is the atmosphere in the area

When I have a taste for a good polish sauage and in the area, I would stop here. It's open 24/7, and it's right off the expressway.

People non stop harassing you. Relentless. Horrible. Definitely not worth the trouble. Some straight up bs. The gators are so thick here you can't even function.

Maxwell Street in general is terrible to me LOL but this location I've been going to for years and I will say the people that work here really are great considering what they deal with having to work 24-hour shifts in a small location that I can imagine it's hot as heck in the summer and freezing cold in the winter. They do their best with what they're giving and I give them props for that just has never been the go to place for me unless it's 2 a.m. on the weekend and there's not many other options given LOL. The Maxwell Street Polish though is the best thing there for sure hands down 😜

Too many people outside begging you to buy them food or ask her for money which kind of changes the mind about buying anything from Maxwell's the steak tacos are stew beef meat with little flavor the green sauce helps tremendously you can't buy a extra Taco you have to buy the whole taco and Fry hookup so really $10 I could have got three tacos at a Mexican joint but this was okay

This place is a STAPLE in the community. It's open 24hrs, so you can immediately assume the type of people and things that occur around there. It's sketchy and you WILL be asked for change by homeless people. But if you disregard the addicts and homeless, then this place is just as "Chicago hood" as anywhere else. Great and CLASSIC food. Alot of options and very fast wait times. Personally the food here is 100% worth all the BS you deal with outside of it.

I’ve been going to Maxwell’s for years, but I’ve never found glass in my food. Every time I visit Maxwell I’d order steak and cheese fries, but today as I was eating, I found glass in my food. I knew it was a hood restaurant, but I didn’t think they were that hood. I didn’t expect it, honestly. You guys don’t have to believe me, but I wouldn’t eat there.
