I’ve gone here multiple times as I live nearby. It is always packed but we are always seated quickly and treated with impeccable service. We always get the corned beef hash. I recently tried the Dutch Treat and it was delicious. Fast service, tasty food, and a cozy homey vibe in the middle of Gold Coast. Much of Gold Coast is glitzy, yet this breakfast spot feels familiar and comfortable in the best way.
They are regularly packed full, but they get you seated right away. Staff efficiency is like a well oiled machine. Not overpriced and the a la carte is reasonable as well.

Amazing breakfast!! I had pancakes and my partner had a meat lovers plate with eggs. Everything was delicious. Felt very traditional and homely!

The food was soooo good. Hot, fresh and fast
They use peanut oil and it took me asking twice for them to tell me. 3 juices were almost $20 (cash only). When I got up to leave, it felt like the hostess and server were talking down almost like the didn’t believe me. Hopefully it was just an off day.
Perfect little breakfast joint. We stopped here on my most recent trip to Chicago. And I would put it on a level equal with the waffle house. That's quite a compliment for a guy who loves. The ambience is a little bit more upscaled than the waffle house. But the bar is pretty low there
Best ever! We will be back.
