This is my 2nd time buying food from here. Today Valentine day decided to treat myself to a jerk chicken meal with rice and plantains. The chicken does not have a jerk flavor at all, neither does the black sauce a mess. My plantains are totally burnt up. I tried calling with no answer. My first experience the Mac and cheese was watery which I had to wait for them to cook. There is nothing authentic about this place. I will not be going back. My roots are Jamaican. These Americans cooks are not doing it. Sorry I will not be buying from them again.

I absolutely love this place. I walked in and not knowing what I was going to get because I had some jerk chicken that was not so good. I came in and I told the guy that was behind the counter. I’ve never been here before I drove from the west side over here and he gave me a sample. The chicken tip was so tender and flavorful. I had to order some while I was waiting he offered me a sample of some rusted pasta. I had to get some of that too.The service was quick and the food was delicious and hot when I got home, I I was really surprised at the portions because I had enough chicken to eat for dinner that night take some for lunch and eat the rest for dinner the night the last night for that price I can say thumbs up to a perfect jerk. I really enjoyed it ThankYou.

So what I ordered were wings But the wings we' Re too small for the price is too much.The wings look like pigeons. Not if there were baby chickens, I'm talking about, they were small. For a person that never had jerk It being the first time and the last For me. It was just so much money and the portion didn't like But you should try it.

My review comes complete unbiased due to me visiting from atlanta. I have to say this was a waste. The chicken was dry and seemed baked and and the cabbage was completely under seasoned and no flavor at all. I ordered fries and they put some kind of sauce I thought was mild sauce but was like bbq but it didnt taste good at all. The jerk sauce was so watery and no flavor at all , it was a painful experience because im sooo used to getting good food in chicago. Stick to Uncle Joes or Jerk 48 bc this aint it. 😭😭

This place is great overall. Owner is a kool guy speaks to me every time he’s there food is never disappointing I pretty much get my favorite, the jerk salmon dinner with Mac @ cheese cabbage and spinach.
