Our table had an amazing experience at the Rosebud on Taylor street. Food was fantastic and great portion sizes. I loved the GF pasta personally, but everyone else at my table got regular pasta and raved about it.

We chose Rosebud Taylor for a 77th birthday dinner celebration because of the great menu choices and previous positive dining experiences. Unfortunately we had a disappointing experience this time. Upon arrival at the restaurant and seated, we discovered that there was a menu change to accommodate the Chicago marathon event and the revised menu did not have what we had planned to order. If we had known about the menu change ahead of time, we would have changed our reservation to another day to ensure a great celebration.

We went the Saturday before the marathon and because of this, they were not offering chef's specials. Our appetizers (2 orders of stuffed mushrooms) were brought out cold.. we had to send them back. Calamari was good (hot too). Overall disappointed

Coupling the amazing all around service with phenomenal authentic Italian dishes ensures a return visit when back in the city!

Best vodka sauce you'll ever have in your life- I come here for my birthday every year for their rigatoni alla vodka, it's so good. Chicken Vesuvio was extremely flavorful too. Kind and attentive staff- our server Victoria was wonderful. 10/10 recommend ❤️

This Chicago classic was closed for a few years after Covid and it was great to have it reopen. Food was as good as expected and servings as large as before. Highly recommend one dinner split for two with an appetizer or two but even there the salad was delicious but very large and easily splittable. Service was excellent as well. If you want an authentic old time Chicago experience (complete with heavily Chicago accented customers "And another thing . . .") you can't do much better than this.
Portion way too small for the cost of the dish. My friend and I both ordered linguine and clam sauce. The amount of clams in the dish was fine. The amount of linguine was ridiculous. I literally had 3 fork fulls of pasta. Pasta itself is cheap! It was a lunch entree so I understand you are not going to get a lb of pasta but this was so little. I believe the cost was $28.00 per entree. The service was awesome!

Used to go here frequently before they closed. So glad it reopened! Had Mussels Fra Diavolo for the appetizer, so good. Also, the special Veal Braciole and Cavatelli Al Forno were outstanding. Tiramisu also very enjoyable. Definitely recommend.

When I travel, I like to find the hidden gem neighborhood places. I'm so glad I found the Rosebud! The staff were warm and welcoming, the old-school ambiance felt right out of a movie, and my meal was lovely. If I lived in the area, I would be a regular.

Can not say enough about the reopening of Rosebud on Taylor. We have been there now 5 times since they reopened and it has not disappointed. We have sat at the bar, in the main restaurant, and the patio. The food is always great and the staff is super nice.
