We've dined here several times and it's one of our favorite restaurants in Chicago. We were concerned that recent renovations would have changed the warm ambiance of the place, but they did not. They even added valet parking. Welcome back Rosebud's on Taylor!

I'm so glad they re-opened as a full service restaurant after closing during the pandemic and then re-opening as an event only space. This was a long time iconic Little Italy spot, which was greatly missed, and it did not disappoint. From being greeted and seated by the hostess, to the service of our server, to the “thank you and good night” from the owner when we were leaving, the customer service was excellent. The atmosphere is the same dark, warm, cozy, clubby space it was before. The food, as expected, was excellent. The only thing a little off was the bar service. The Old Fashioneds seemed off and the three we had were not only not good at all, but were so different that they seemed to have been made by a different bartender each time, so much so that we asked our server and she said they were all made by the same bartender. Dinner for two with three cocktails and a glass of wine came out to $195 not including tip. A bit pricier than expected, but still a good value.

Always a generally excellent experience dining at Rosebud on Taylor! Well made cocktails and very good food---with enough leftovers for another meal at home. This time, I had the Eggplant Parm and my pescatarian GF had the Baccala Livornese (Cod). We shared a Caesar salad, and tiramisu for dessert. The Egglplant is pricey--for eggplant--but I loved it! Thank goodness they had hot giardiniera; essential with Eggplant Parm. GF thoroughly enjoyed the seafood. Salad was fresh and the tiramisu...needed a tad more coffee flavor IMO, but was large and otherwise well-prepared. And that's coming from someone who doesn't drink or really like coffee---but loves a good tiramisu! Good spot for a dinner before anything at the United Center! We'll definitely be back.

The food was delicious and reasonably priced as was the wine list. The old school ambiance is timeless.

Exactly what we were looking for. A traditional Italian restaurant, lovely wood paneling, super friendly staff, and the food was stupendous. We had the bacalá livornese which was perfectly prepared and the tortellini cacciatore (better than the one we had in Naples, Italy this summer).

I took my wife out for a dinner date and I decided to go back to Rosebud - Taylor. We had not been there for years. The portions were very good and the food tasted great, just like before. The service was excellent. We will go back again.

Rosebud is a classic Italian staple! Everything we ate was delicious and the service was wonderful.

We're so glad you're open again! You make the best veal piccata of any other places we go! It's still quality even after three years of you being closed!! Thank you for coming back!

The bartender, waitress, owner were all very personable and attentive. The food was fabulous. I had suggested Rosebud to co-workers from out of town and everyone LOVED their food and service!

Our table had an amazing experience at the Rosebud on Taylor street. Food was fantastic and great portion sizes. I loved the GF pasta personally, but everyone else at my table got regular pasta and raved about it.

We chose Rosebud Taylor for a 77th birthday dinner celebration because of the great menu choices and previous positive dining experiences. Unfortunately we had a disappointing experience this time. Upon arrival at the restaurant and seated, we discovered that there was a menu change to accommodate the Chicago marathon event and the revised menu did not have what we had planned to order. If we had known about the menu change ahead of time, we would have changed our reservation to another day to ensure a great celebration.
