This place has been mysteriously closed for 3 weeks now, don’t be tricked by their “open” status on google.

Mickey, thank you for roping us in. You are a great host and server. The out of towners might only be "hated a little bit", but Carol and I loved you. And yes, Texas is smaller.

Sedgwick Stop is the preferred meeting location for our running club. Located across the street from the Sedgwick CTA stop, good selection of beer and food. The people working here are friendly and chill. Always great vibes at this bar.

Went for Tennessee basketball game. Not too crowded, decent number of TVs. However, the waitress didn’t know what she was doing. She didn’t know who ordered anything in the bar the entire night and kept coming up to our table with food we didn’t order. The food I did order was wrong. I ordered a burger with no cheese and she handed me a burger with visible cheese and told me to my face it didn’t have cheese. I had to wash my jacket and clothes when I got home because they smelled like they were covered in old cooking oil. We weren’t even standing by the kitchen. There are better dive bars.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would! This place was absolute trash. We are from out of town and went here because it was advertised as the Chicago Tennessee bar. The owner is very creepy and cut a customer off because “she was stumbling in the bathroom”.The creep watched her walk to the bathroom and knocked on the door several times. He then proceeded to stand at the end of the bar and mock us.

As one who’s been frequenting The Sedgewick Stop for many years, starting way back when it was a Bruce & Hilary establishment, I can say with absolute certainty that this bar & grill is awesome. Especially now that Mr. Ted Malört (genuinely thought that was your last name for way to long ?) has taken the helm, and continues to host various themed events and venues, which makes just popping by particularly exciting because you never know what kind of party you'll be walking into!Although I’d have to say my personal favorite Sedgwick Stop events are the 'bring your dog days', where the patio bar-b-q is in full swing, there are classic games such as bag-o and flip Cup underway, and friendly pets are out and about ?.

A great neighborhood spot. The owner is obviously someone who cares about people, (patrons and staff) service and the experience he provides. You might get bonus points if you order Malort.

Don't go here for food, go for the beer and dive bar vibes. The bartenders and patrons both contributed to a convivial atmosphere here.
