This is my very favorite pizza place in Chicago. Phenomenal crust and topping selections (with the pepperoni and sausage options being beef instead of pork, which I appreciate). I have thoroughly enjoyed the following slices many times: the plain cheese, pepperoni, Italian beef, and vegetarian. I like to add things like hot honey or basil, which are free additions.
Staff is always supremely welcoming and friendly too. Such a stellar addition to Lakeview 🍕🍕

VERY good grandma style pizza - well charred, light crust, good ratio of toppings. We got hot honey and Parmesan on it at no additional charge.
And for 5 dollars, I thought this was an excellent value.
I also tried the jalapeño poppers and they were so fresh and plenty of cream cheese.

The pizza style is really interesting! Selections are great and nothing is too gimmicky (Buffalo chicken seemed like the most "out there" and looked amazing. Next time...) I had the vodka cheese slice with garlic evoo and it was one of the most interesting slices of pizza I've ever had. My 2 friends also loved their slices. They offer optional toppings to customize your slice which, again, are modern and classic without seeming non traditional. Great little indie spot with a great selection of canned beverages (ahem...DR PEPPER...).

Ordered a half-and-half pizza for takeout and absolutely loved the crust and flavors! The beef pepperoni was fragrant, while the buffalo chicken delivered a bold and spicy kick. The toppings truly stood out - especially the fresh basil and spicy olive oil - and the crust was a highlight that was airy with a soft crumb in every bite. A perfect spot for anyone who loves square-cut pizza.
Some of the best pizza I’ve ever had! Customer service is great! Food doesn’t take too long and the price is just right.

We absolutely love the Slice Shop! Their pizza is incredible—the crust is perfectly crispy, and the ingredients are always so fresh. Every visit, we make it a tradition to grab two subs from their deli next door and at least two slices of pizza to enjoy in the car on the way home.
They also deliver! I recommend getting a few of their pies for your next event.
This family-owned spot holds a special place in our hearts. We lived across the street from them a few years ago and still make it a point to stop by whenever we’re in the neighborhood. They always remember us, which makes every visit feel so welcoming. Their kindness and hospitality truly make them a cherished part of Lakeview.

One of the best slices you can get in Chicago -An East
Great slices and soups and will try sandwiches another day. While the tomato soup here really sells for good reason, one from our group favored the clam chowder, and I was super satisfied with the chicken noodle.
Next: service is excellent. The worker remembered our talk from last time! (It was about that really good tomato soup.) Everyone is really nice.
Now, atmosphere: the interior is in line with all the other shops in the area, so it's fine, but look out for fun '80s music! Those tunes bring back yesteryear memories of old WBMX & WGCI radio stations.
Last: half off, day-old pizza slices are sometimes in the fridge for latter-day take-home eats. This shop is a gem by any other name.

Perhaps went on an off night?
This was my second time here. First time absolutely blew me away and I've thought about the pizza since. The "everything" toppings really take the pizza to the next level.
I was so excited to bring my partner who is a big foodie and it was...lacking. I'm really hoping it was just an off night and it somehow didn't go downhill in just a few months.
Ordered 6 slices with some having "everything on it" toppings and a side of hot honey to go. When we got our order we realized they forgot the honey. We went back inside and they gave it to us. Then we got home and realized none of the slices had the "everything" toppings. I thought the pizza would still be good without the "everything" toppings, but it seemed to be mostly bread with a little sauce and hardly any toppings or cheese.
Again I really hope this was just an off night. This place was AMAZING the first time.
