The Soul Food Lounge is amazing! The Lake Michigan Perch was hot, flaky, and perfectly fried, and the vodka sauce spaghetti was rich and creamy. The peach pound cake with ice cream was the perfect ending warm, balanced, and so satisfying. Portions were generous, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the cozy atmosphere made the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be back!

The food was amazing the customer service was great . The only problem was the wait time we had reservations and they had 3 different groups booked at the same time it took 1hour to be seated.
With no kinda compensation or discount.

Went with my grandma and Dad for my birthday. The server was persistently rude and impatient and took a long time to arrive to the table, at least 10 minute and the very cozy-sized place wasn’t even at full capacity.

The food was great, but everything that wasn’t fried came out room temp. Definitely overpriced for the experience, but didn’t hate it ig.

An all-time favorite dining experience. The Grand Tasting is a must-do: THREE of their amazing entrees for $69 - even includes a glass of wine as well as one of their signature lemonades or teas. I was part of a party of five so that’s 15 entrees being passed around and EVERYTHING was soooo good. I loved the short ribs with mashed potatoes. The fried chicken was juicy and flavorful as well. A number of the dishes I couldn’t eat due to a seafood allergy, but the rest of the party raved about all of the food and cleaned their plates. We also received great service from our servers, Tee and Marie - thank you to them both. This is a worthy trek to Chicago’s West Side to enjoy an incomparable night of dining.

Can't say enough about how amazing this place is. We came in for some good soul food, and got a fun adventure as a welcomed bonus! The Grand Tasting allows you to choose 3 (slightly smaller sized) entrees for $69. This comes with a glass of wine and a glass of lemonade. With 5 of us at the table, we each got this special and had FIFTEEN entrees that we shared family style. Everything was amazing. Seriously, everything! Each dish was seasoned to perfection, not too salty and certainly not bland. My favorites were the pot roast, seafood dressing, and mac and cheese.

Every table in the restaurant was talking about how great the food was... to each other and even to other tables lol.

We finished it off with the 3 for $10 poundcake special where we got slices of peach, vanilla, and chocolate chip grilled poundcake. Delicious.

10/10 🙌🏾

We went as a party of 6 for a birthday celebration dinner. We got the $69 sampler special which included 3 smaller sized portions of any of the meal listed on the menu. The service was impeccable. The restaurant was clean and very nice inside. The food came out fast and hot. Everyone loved their food. I ordered the fried pound cake for desert which is a new favorite of mines. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

I called to see if there was a table available. Customer service was top tier over the phone. I was able to make a reservation. Walking in, the ambience was everything. Beautiful aesthetic and art work. The server, Chantel, was extremely attentive and gave great recommendations. We got the Grand Tasting. 10 out of 10 definitely recommend. I see why they have high ratings! Only thing is, I wish they had high chairs or boosters for the littles. But it's more upscale, so I understood.

Went recently for a cute date night. The food was delicious and came out very fresh! The service was even better! I absolutely loved the vibe with the music and just the overall energy/openness. The decor was very well thought out and I enjoyed every moment of my experience! Also, don’t skip dessert! Will definitely return!
