Soul Food Lounge is a must go. The staff is great, professional and courteous, definitely a reflection of the leadership in the restaurant. The food is not just good but the portions are huge. The ambiance is good, music, decorations, and even with the quaint size you really don't notice it due to all of the other great distractions in the place. (I thought I was on the set of Love Jones). This place is quaint and classy, my wife and I are foodie's and we will go back again and again.

I had the pleasure of dining at this lovely restaurant. After seeing so many tik tok videos. I decided to treat my husband on a date. The whole place was a vibe. The customer service was amazing. The food was amazing (I didn’t get to take a picture) . I definitely wasn’t disappointed at all. I definitely will patronize this restaurant again soon.

The food exceeded my expectations. The short rib was so tender and the sauce was to die for. Our waitress, Anna, was amazing. She checked upon my wife and I occasionally to refill our drinks and provide us some more napkins as needed without having to ask for it. New silverware were provided for our dessert. I suggest doing the grand tasting meal package. You certainly get your money's worth. My wife and I got the Korean short rib, Marsala pot roast, and the Fried maple glazed chicken. All of our dishes tastes great and the service was great. We look forward to coming back in the future the next time we visit Chicago.

I can’t say enough about this restaurant the food, service and ambience was excellent. I had the Truffle Lobster Mac & Cheese if you want to enjoy Mac & Cheese a different way this is it!creamy, delicious, and when you pickup a piece of the lobster meat you can tell because the taste takes it to another level. I also tried my guest dish who had the Cajun Fried Catfish Étouffée which also fantastic ( and a lot of food) we will be returning.
The service was definitely 5***** she was very nice & I hate I forgot her name. Thee atmosphere w/the live music was1 everything. I am plant based so it wasn't many options for me but I did enjoy the Brussel sprouts...

Believe the hype! The food is amazing. The service was phenomenal. We were seated quickly (within 10 mins of our reservation) and received our food within 30 minutes of ordering (honestly, maybe even less).The restaurant is small, but they use the space very well. It's doesn't feel tight, just cozy.I loved the live music. The saxophonist truly added to the elevated dining experience.

I got the pot roast and a side of mash potatoes for takeout and it was delicious! I am from the south and grew up eating a lot of soul food, I have been in Chicago for a year and this has come the closest to tasting like home. The staff was also very nice and kind, overall the experience was 10/10. Thank you all very much.
