This place is AH-MAZING!!!

The vibes, the service, the food, everything! We went on a Saturday and there was a DJ who played live jazz. The decor is beautiful and our server Kendall was beyond great! The owner Tiffany was so sweet and greeted each table personally, even stayed to chat. I'm so glad my daughter selected this place to dine. We will be back!

I brought my mother in law here for her birthday because of all the reviews I'd seen on social media. Let me tell you they did not disappoint. The reservation process was seamless and the customer service was amazing. We were originally supposed to try out their original location on Chicago's west side. After calling and confirming if they had the trio option and being told no we decided to switch locations. The staff was extremely professional and accommodating and we were able to switch locations. We had a late reservation and when we arrived at the location it was a full house. There was a small misunderstanding regarding the size of our party so we had a little longer wait however, the hostess Tiffany was amazing. She was attentive and had a very inviting demeanor. She apologized for the confusion and kept us comfortable while we waited. The wait was about 20 mins for a table of 4 and we were ok with that. After being seated she took our orders immediately. I'm vegan so there weren't any options on the menu for me directly. However, she was thorough in her questions about my veganism to try an accommodate me as well. I was very pleased by her eagerness to understand my needs and making sure she checked the ingredients and labels. After we ordered she came back to tell us that they had run out of a lot of the menu option but they still worked to make sure we had a delightful meal and experience. Everyone was pleased with the dishes we were given. There were literally no complaints and that's a first. I was even able to get a healthy portion of grilled veggies which were delicious. If I could add anything it would be to implore the Chef to create a fully vegan friendly meal or 2. We can't wait to go back and get the full experience.

This is my first time here and the food and this place is awesome! Our waitress was Yvette she was very nice and knowledgeable about the food we came around midday/lunch. I received the shrimp a la Florentine which was amazing and we had the turkey leg with jerk shrimp and Mac and cheese! When I tell you the turkey leg is off the bone and delicious omg!!!

I wanted to really like this place but the service was terrible! The waitress had a terrible attitude she acted like she didn't even want to talk to us. We waited over an hour for our food. They ran out if pepper steak and cabbage. The server said they only had a little bit of cabbage so my son asked for extra rice. When the plate arrived there was no cabbage at all, half of the plate was rice. I was supposed to have spinach with my meal no spinach at all on my plate. The automatic 18% gratuity didn't make it any better. The hostess was really nice and tried to accommodate us as much as possible. I will not be back.

My husband and I went on a Sunday and day after V-Day so all of this was taken into consideration during our visit: The food was phenomenal!!!! My husband and I got a chance to indulge in 6 meals. Everything was flavorful and very fulfilling even for smaller portions. The customer service was great. Thee only drawback was the wait time. We were there for about an hour before I food starting coming out. Everything doesn’t come at one time which is perfect. It always your dish to be fresh and give you time to finish the dish.

Excellent food, service was amazing, and the atmosphere was great including live music. We got the Grand Tasting so we were able to try multiple dishes, all were perfect with my favorite being the Maine Stuffed Buttered Lobster. The southern cornbread dressing was perfect! The Tuscany Crème Surf & Turf was a fun way to enjoy Mac and cheese, also equally yummy. We will be back, thank you for making our special night even better!!!

I really wanted to like this place, but the experience fell short in several ways.

The restaurant is very small. I would love to call it intimate, but honestly it was just uncomfortably cramped. There is barely any breathing room, which made the entire meal feel rushed and tight rather than cozy.

The lighting was another issue. The strong yellow lighting was too bright and overwhelming, not warm or inviting. It did nothing for the ambiance and actually made the space feel more intense instead of relaxed.

Because it is in a dry zone on Western, there is no bar, which is understandable. What was not understandable is that they do not offer any soft drinks at all. No soda, no tea, just lemonade or lemon water. That is extremely limiting, especially since the food is on the saltier side. Being stuck with only water or lemonade made the meal less enjoyable.

Speaking of service, our glasses arrived dirty. The waiter did replace them once we pointed it out, but that is still something that should not happen.

The food itself was definitely soul food in terms of flavor and it was good. However, it was served on very small plates, with food stacked on top of itself. It felt messy and cramped rather than thoughtfully plated, which unfortunately mirrored the overall feel of the restaurant.

They do allow BYOB, but the twenty dollar bottle fee feels excessive considering there are no cocktails, no soft drinks, and very limited beverage options overall.

Jazz music was playing, which was a nice touch, but it was very loud. It made it hard for my friend and I to talk, and instead of enhancing the atmosphere, it added to the feeling of sensory overload in the small space. After a while, we were just eager to move on to the next location.

Between the tight space, harsh lighting, limited beverages, salty food, loud music, and high corkage fee, the overall experience did not feel worth it. This place might work better for takeout or with some serious adjustments, but as a dine-in experience, it missed the mark for me.

Unimpressed: I went on Sunday, January 25, 2026 in the midst of a snow storm to celebrate my birthday. I ordered the mac and creme turf and surf and my daughter had the pot roast. We were not impressed for the pasta had a large amount of oil at the bottom of the bowl and well as my daughter's pot roast. I did enjoy the mango lemonade as well the sevice. I was disappointed for I have passed my this establishment often curious about the food, service, and ambiance. Currently, my stomach is bubbling not the way to end my birthday weekend.

This place is a little piece of HEAVEN!!! We had a party of 12 for a friend's Birthday and all the dishes on the menu ended up at our table they were all fanominal. The best surprise in Beverly. Very small and intimate setting only about a dozen tables but it is peaceful and very romantic. The amount of food for the price point was above average I had leftovers.

My family bought me her for my birthday. When I walk into the place the atmosphere was cozy. The lights on the table were nice. The waiter showed us to our table. He brought out water that was made with lemon and cucumber was good. I had the barbecue cat fish, cabbage, red beans and rice. The rice was so fluffy and the cabbage was cooked so good not over cooked. Since it was my birthday I got a cheesecake sprinkled with Carmel and strawberries and blueberries. I enjoy everything on my plate. Got a lot of food I bought some home. Oh my daughter got the grill pound cake delicious. I will be going back again. Thank you for your generous hospitality.
