I watched the owner prepare my cold brew. She poured less than a quarter of the cup with actual coffee and the rest of the cup with milk and ice. The staff is always cold and off putting. I don't know what I did to those people but I will not be going back into that place.

I was initially so excited to try this place, I've heard great things. This place was disappointing. The bagel sandwich is very bland, and was missing a sauce. The only thing they offered was mayo. Finding parking was extremely difficult. I got the mazapan latte and I felt the syrup was overwhelming the coffee's flavor. The ladies at the coffee shop are very nice, but the shop felt overcrowded. Hopefully they can work on their food menu. I don't like to leave bad reviews but I did feel like it was a waste of money for food/drinks of mediocre taste.

The iced coffee and bagel were good. However, I sat down in one of the tables and read the small sign on the table that said “1hr seating limit for customers” and decided to open my laptop and reply to some emails with not intention of staying more than 30 min. (The place typically gets full but this afternoon it was not) and one of the baristas tells me, “just so you know, laptops are not allowed on tables so if it gets packed, you’re going to have to wrap it up”. Kind of a bummer because I specifically read the small sign to see if it said anything about laptop usage, and it didn’t. Plus it didn't have signs anywhere that specifically says no laptops allowed. The barista then proceeded to tell me the place closed at 2pm even though they close at 3pm?

Visited Stockyard Coffee at around 10am on a Wednesday with my wife and toddler. The shop is cute and cozy, with a small seating area - just three tables and some window space for laptop users. Even with our toddler, we found the space comfortable due to the timing of our visit.

Unfortunately, they were out of Rajas con Queso by 10am, which is understandable given they open at 7:30am. We ended up with the breakfast bagel sandwich. A note for new visitors: the menu doesn't clearly specify that you choose your own protein, cheese, and veggies, which are listed at the bottom of the menu. This led to a somewhat curt interaction with the staff when ordering.

On a brighter note, we tried the Valentin coffee flight - four delicious drinks. Our toddler enjoyed a not-too-sweet strawberry lemonade.

The food was served straightforwardly onto the table, but it was tasty and satisfying.

Overall, Stockyard Coffee offers a charming atmosphere with delectable food and drinks, though at a higher price point. The customer service could be more welcoming, especially for first-timers. A clearer menu might help with this. Would recommend with the caveat of being prepared for a straightforward service style.

The coffee drinks are delicious. The food is OK. The coffee is the star.
Not a place to hang out, read or get work done. Really loud music when I was there.

I really enjoy this place. The food and drinks are consistently very good, and it has become one of my favorite spots. The service can be hit or miss depending on who is at the register, but most of the staff are friendly and welcoming.

Very cute and cozy and the employees are nice. The flights look wonderful but are small and so overly sweet!

Awesome coffee shop. The Mexican Mocha is amazing! Staff is really friendly!

Update (~2 yrs): We make a point of coming here every time we're in Chicago! We've visited multiple times over the past couple years, and it's always absolutely amazing. The Mexican Mocha is my single favorite coffee drink, of all time, anywhere. This place is pure gold!

Cute coffee shop with themed and Hispanic flavors. I’m not a big fan of coffee but it was fun trying all the different flavors of the coffee flight. Prices were a bit more on the higher end but understandably so for the quality which I’m more than happy to support small businesses. I also got the breakfast sandwich which I added chipotle mayo for a kick to it. More of a brunch than work space since they do have limited seating and a one hour limit.

I got the cafe de olla latte with coconut milk. Wasn’t bitter. Very smooth. Bit of spice. Also tasted my friend’s almas puras (lavender sage latte) which was also very good.

Early morning road trip and desperate need for coffee led us to The Stockyard Coffeehouse! Cute corner storefront neighborhood coffee house with a delicious menu of coffee drink options. We tried the Mexican Mocha and Horchata Latte, and both drinks were super tasty!! This coffee shop will be our new road trip fueling station!
