One of the highest rated bars in Chicago for a reason. The Bamboo Room staff were incredible, attentive, knowledgeable, and generous. Make an effort to be here whenever you can

Matt our mixologist was outstanding. Extremely knowledgeable and was extremely useful advisement of what drinks to try. This is the second time my wife and I have visited the Bamboo Room and look forward to visiting it whenever we are in Chicago. A true must visit bar if you enjoy tiki bars and tiki dinks.

We had a 5:30pm reservation and were able to be seated early. We first noticed the music- it was at a level that felt more appropriate for 9pm or later, but for the early crowd it was a laughable struggle chatting amongst ourselves at a corner booth. While greeting us, our server did not ask if we had a chance to look at the menu or if we were were ready to order but instead insisted we open our menus and do a read-along. After explaining how to read a menu, they said they would give us time to decide: again, not asking if we had already decided. We had been sat with our menus and water, fully able to read and understand the menus before our server arrived. It was a weird start, and unfortunately service did not get any smoother. When our server did return we ordered cocktails as well as some share plates. The food came out at confusing temperatures: fried chicken poppers and shrimp spring rolls weren't hot - how? why? The flavors can be described as “fine” and they arrived in a timely fashion. The crab rangoon dip was nice. The cocktails were tasty and we were happy with our choices. The final bite of one of our dishes had just been enjoyed when two people came by and asked if anything could be removed from the table. One dish was cleared as we were still actively enjoying the other two. I appreciate table maintenance, but this felt poorly timed and a missed opportunity to gauge interest for another round. Our server never brought up the idea of another round or bringing back a menu. We were not charmed by our experience and were glad to have the QR code on the table so we could pay and leave less than an hour after our experience started.

Love the knowledge and skill of our bartender. Cocktails , even those off the menu, were outstanding!

My wife and I were sat at a table under a table with a vent blowing cold air above it. We talked to the hostess and were told it would be a 45 minute wait. This was 4:15 pm and the place was at 10% capacity. We asked about the other empty tables and were denied. We left and had drinks and food elsewhere.

We had an excellent time at Three Dots and a Dash. The cocktails were expertly crafted, and the ambiance was beautiful. However, we initially got reservations for the bamboo room, which was unfortunate because we had made a reservation for a more relaxed setting. Despite this setback, we still had a great time!!!

We were a party of 11 and we had a great time. We came on a Monday evening, so it's was quiet and fast.
I see their photo of the place but I couldn’t see anything while I was in there. It’s too dark. Had to use the light on my phone to read the cocktail menu. Saying all of that, the staff that we met from the front door staff to the server were lovely. The drinks were good too. Nice place - quirky.

Hannah was an incredible server! The drinks were incredible, the waffle fries were incredible, and the service was incredible!! I was devastated about the coffee grog being off the new menu and Hannah went above and beyond to let me know that it could still be made!
