Don't Know what happened to the Great Food Here... But they have lost me.I ordered a week ago, some Supposedly Mongolian Beef, which is supposed to be hot as in Spicy... I received A TON of grilled onions and strips of beef w/out any seasoning. The other was a Beef Fried Rice, with PEAS, no sprouts or scallions. This will never happen again, as I am finished w/ this place
This was my favorite spot for Chinese food, decent prices and good food til today, I guess they are under new management, today I order shrimp fried rice for lunch and I pay like 9.98 for the large, pick up my food and back to my work place and open my food it was looking good with some shrimp in the top of the fried rice but when I start digging there were not a single shrimp in the bottom it was just fried rice so disappointed.
The food been great.. however today I ordered egg foo young and the dish wasn't even complete. Before they reopened the sauce would already be on the egg foo young but now they serve it on the side. Thing is the sauce wasn't in the bag. Basically I paid 11 bucks for some eggs. Tried calling back and straight to voice mail multiple times. I've been so faithful to this place. I've been ordering from three harmony for over 6 years now.
It is with tremendous sadness that I write this review, but stay away; stay very far away. I've been ordering takeout from Three Harmony for 14 years -- always very solid, consistent, classic, inexpensive American Chinese food worth a four star rating. Until today.I had no idea that they switched management over the holidays, but the prices went up by 50% (e.g., Orange Chicken: $8.55 to $12.75) and the food was terrible--so much so that I threw it in the garbage. Ordered three dishes - Kung Pao Chicken, Orange Chicken and a Chicken Noodle Soup. Each were flavorless, with the exception of a really discomforting aftertaste that permeated each dish -- maybe the lack of seasoning betrayed oil that was reused too many days in a row. Chicken in former two dishes were each fried, but soggy -- often just fried fat or fried coating instead of meat. Kung Pao had no flavor (basically no sauce), let alone heat and veggies were undercooked. Orange Chicken had some faint hint of meeting a citrus fruit at some point in its life, but basically had same "flavor" as the kung pao. How do you screw up chicken noodle soup? Answer - don't use chicken stock. The broth tasted like water.I was also shocked to pop by at 8PM on a Saturday night and have it be so dead -- in the olden times it was crazy busy. I can't imagine this place sticking around for very long. I'm so sad to lose this my go to place for a quick takeout, it has been such a reliable staple for us. RIP.
Three Harmony Chinese Restaurant is the place to goes, they have different varity dishes and Appitzers&good and tasty.
We was happy to find out they opened back up so we placed an order & we are very disappointed. The pepper steak was all vegetables with very little meat & my vegetable lol mein didn't have any flavor. The egg rolls were cold & so was the food which never was an issue prior. The food changed & not for the better.
Ordered food tonight 1/20/22. Under new management. Food is bad. No taste bland. I will never order here ever again. This was my favorite Chinese restaurant to order for the last 10 yrs. Never again. All my friends on the northside or in the city. DO NOT order from here!
So disappointing - they are "under new management." I asked if the recipes were all the same as before and the woman assured me they were. They absolutely are not - everything is different and MUCH WORSE THAN BEFORE. I was so glad to hear they were re-opening, as I loved their fried rice - no more. Now it's that stupid peas-and-carrots concoction with no flavor. Never ordering again.
This place is just so bad. After waiting over 40 minutes my order never arrived. Called the place and they don't pick up.
The food is good and great portions.Great prices as well!!

There rice is so delicious. I ordered beef fried rice and I kept biting chunks of beef as I was eating. it was so good ?
This place is nasty. The cook sneezed and was not wearing a mask. Did not wash his hands. The order taker was on the phone for 20mins before taking my order. Then she started coughing loud as hell. I won't be going back. Glad I hadn't paid yet. I LEFT! she even followed me to my car!
The food is SO good and the portion sizes are insane and very high quality especially for the price. My lunch special had 8 or 9 HUGE shrimp, it was like 2 meals! And the lady in front is always very nice and VERY efficient. So glad this place is in my neighborhood!
They used to be great, but they went downhill since Covid. As I type this, they still have it where you cant go inside the restaurant. They have a table blocking the entrance. The cashier came from around the counter and took my card with a pair of tongs. I didn't feel at all comfortable taking my wallet out in the doorway with people in the parking log hanging out and looking. Then I ordered orange chicken but when I got home and opened it it wasn't orange chicken and idk what it was. It was so bitter like too much vinegar and ive had their orange chicken many times and this was not it.
Hands down my favorite food per dollar. They take fresh produce and prepare it right in view (if you peek into the open-windowed kitchen from the doorway). The end result is a generous portion of freshly cooked, delicious food that gives you the same satisfaction of a super greasy meal. But this isn't greasy, its saucy and great.Do yourself a favor. If you have $10, go in between 11am and 3pm and get a $7 lunch special and give them the rest as a tip. They deserve it, and its STILL a good deal.
