Amazing service, food, and experience. Can't wait to share this with my boys next time.
COME THROUGH CHICAGO INDIAN FOOD SCENE! Tandoor is a stop that should be on your list if you love Indian food. The location on Halsted has select $5 appetizers, Mon - Wednesday and they include Samosas (2), Chaat fries or Pakoras, which are fritters that are deep fried to a golden brown. The samosas are huge! The vegetable Samosa was packed with so much flavor and the sauce that came for dipping made it even better! I’m used to getting samosas that have just a little bit of filling or have a crust that isn’t the most appetizing. These were the complete opposite! If I have to suggest anything - it’s definitely the Murg Malai. It’s huge and can feed two people honestly. And the flavors? So tasty!!!! Everything is brought out sizzling! The veggies are fresh and the meat has been marinating for 24 hours before being cooked fresh. Those flavors are Poppin! Stop by to try something off of their delicious menu and tell em that Bri from Planes and Plates sent you!
Service was terrible, very unprofessional restaurant. Food was ok, definitely not coming back. Didn’t allow us to split the bill and made it more difficult. Our waiter didn’t come to our table once.

Ordered on Uber eats as we realized this is a Tandoor Char House cloud kitchen. I had high expectation but, this was just sad. The food is really really terrible. The chicken taco was somehow coated in sauce and yet utterly bland and tasteless. The paneer taco was also bland and had burnt pieces of bell-peppers in it. They forgot our shrimp ceviche entirely. The chat fries were bad. They were dry and had no seasoning on it. To top it off, they gave us a yogurt sauce that had curdled!Really disappointed as Tandoor Char House is quite lovely but, they missed the spot with this place.
My first order and for sure not the last one

staff & food are awesome
Tikka Masala Taco House (and Tandoor Char House) are lights out. This is the food fusion that Chicago didn't know they needed, but should be ecstatic to have. I was first introduced to chicken tikka masala tacos at Velvet Taco and while I loved the concept, I never felt like Velvet's execution was particularly authentic. Still cool nonetheless. Tikka Masala Taco house is truly in a different league. Their chicken tikka masala tacos could be not only one of my favorite tacos in the entire city, but also one of the largest taco I've ever had. For the flavor and price, you really can't beat it. They pack these things so full that it's almost like you're getting a side order of chicken tikka masala with your tacos. Also, make sure to give their Chaat fries a try. Another huge portion for the price, cooked perfectly, and pretty unique from anything I've tried previously. This is a local business that cares. Each time upon picking up my order, the owner was great about greeting me and immediately recognizing me. You can tell if anything were to go astray with an order and you gave them a chance, they'd go above and beyond to make sure you're taken care of. Overall, I wish I would have found out about this "virtual" taco fusion of Tandoor much earlier. While a regular customer of Tandoor Char House, I didn't realize this offering from them until they'd been running it for over a year. Luckily, being only a few blocks away will let me make up for lost time. Whether you live in the area or not, this is absolutely worth a shot, you're not going to regret it.
