Been a big fan of the south loop location for a long time now. Went there last week and was craving some bagels again this weekend. I decided to check out the west loop location. I placed an online order the night before for 11 am pick up. I had plans later in the day and didn’t want to wait in line. I arrived 10 minutes early just to be ready to grab and go. 15 minutes after 11 I still didn’t get the bagel. I asked an employee and was told it would be another 15 minutes. Falling for the sunk cost fallacy I waited the 15 minutes. After the time passed I asked again and was told it would be another half hour wait. Thankfully the staff was kind enough to cancel my order, but the whole experience was disappointing. The south loop location (no matter how busy it gets) has a flawless pick up from ordering online. What’s the point of placing a time, if people who ordered in person got their orders faster.

Sadly, the only redeeming quality here was the bagel itself. I ordered a sausage and egg bagel, and the egg had the texture of jello, not exactly the breakfast vibe I was going for. The sausage was so dry it could’ve doubled as a coaster. If you actually want something edible (and affordable), do yourself a favor and go to The Great American Bagel just half a mile away. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you.

I really don’t know why this place is so highly rated. I’ve been here numerous times (I’m unintelligent) and the bagels are either not toasted when asked, minimal cream cheese, or just bad. At least the bagels are only $7 each!

The bagels weren't bad, though not worth queuing for 20min. I ordered a toasted bagel with butter, but it was just a little warm with very little butter to show for the 2$ price tag for the butter.
I fricken love this place, man. I work around the corner so I pop in a few times a month, everything i have eaten here is so consistently delicious and the staff is literally golden. So many of them remember me and go out of their way to be sweet and kind without slowing the line down. The line gets long sometimes on the weekends mid-morning but they keep it moving! 100000/5 stars. See you guys soon!

Stumbled upon this place and didn’t realize it’s a famous bagel shop.
Wanted a breakfast sandwich to hold the wife and I in the morning. Got the Tilly crisp bagel (never heard this combo before and highly recommend ) with an onion cream cheese, bacon, and scrambled eggs. Great chew and texture to the bagel. The combo of everything else was just a classic. Will be back if we make it back to Chicago and need a bagel sandwich.

Crispy outside and soft fluffy inside! Amazing bagels. Great sandwiches too with tons of filling. We had the lox and a breakfast sandwich. Both were amazing. Service is attentive and prompt. Highly recommend.
