I grew up in this area, and Tony’s was a staple in our community. As a kid, I remember Tony helping me out when I didn’t have money for food. He truly had an impact on my family and myself. He’s not only a great cook but also a great person. The food at Tony’s is amazing, and the kindness and generosity of Tony himself make this place truly special. ?

Have lived in bronzeville for 8 years and this is my first time eating with Tony’s. I got the 6 piece wing special fried hard with lemon pepper and mild sauce. It was delicious, fresh, and hot. The owner is the nicest person and he’s very personable. Best customer service I’ve experienced this whole year on the south side. The establishment is very clean as well. The food is affordable as well.

This was the first time that I've been to Tony's in quite some time, and it was interesting. After getting a recommendation, l ordered the taco (5) special (beef) for $7.00. It's very good. They were well done, not greasy, and very tasty. You'll have to supply your own taco sauce or salsa, though. The reason that my rating is not higher is because of Tony, at least I think it's him. Older guy with glasses ?. He wasn't very personable, especially after l criticized him for over taxing me. He wouldn't even LOOK at me. I should have received $.35 back. Seven dollars should have amounted to $.65 in taxes. I suspect he does this to everyone who comes in to buy his food. I'm fed up with businesses that does this. Bronzeville is a low income area. We need to stretch our money ? as much as possible. With that in mind, pay attention to the tax he adds to your orders. Also, I've experienced this at other places as well. I'm going to do what I do when l go through this - and that is to NEVER go back in Tony's again. I don't care how good his tacos are. ?

Came in with my father and girlfriend and Tony (owner) was great he made us laugh and was very nice even gave my girlfriend who was a first time Chicago visiter a free (Pop)(Soda) and the food was great as well definitely stop by! I will be back! Thanks Tony
