Awesome handmade pasta, huge portion sizes. Have been here multiple times and brought friends and family. Delicious every time. Vibes are great. Love eating here.

Best pasta I’ve had in so long. Had a great experience there, have had 4 different pastas: the fried truffle, the bucatini arabiata, the Torchio special, and the Cacio E Pepe. All of them are fantastic. They told me at the table once I inquired how they learned the recipes that the owner and his wife studied in Italy with the “Nonnas”. This restaurant is their retirement project… go figure. Anyways 10/10

Great pasta! Kind of too salty and the taste of cheese can be very strong.

Absolutely loved this place! The staff is extremely friendly and provide amazing service. Our plates and silverware were cleared between courses, our table was wiped clean, we were attended to frequently enoguh but not more than needed (which can be annoying in some places). I really appreciate everyone that works here.

And the food. Wow! Definitely the best pasta in River North and one of the best in Chicago. The portions were a very respectable size, but not comically big like in some other traditional italian places. We were 2 people and we shared 1 appetizer and 2 pastas and that was plenty of food. In my opinion, the prices are reasonable, I would even say low for the quality of food and service you'll receive.

I will be coming back again and again.

I celebrated my birthday solo at the bar, and I’m so glad I did! The staff were warm, friendly, and made me feel truly welcome. The truffle and fried burrata with freshly made fettuccine was absolutely to die for, and the home made lemon olive oil cake was the perfect finishing touch. I even had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Bill, whose hospitality made the experience even more special. I left Torchio with a full heart and a happy stomach. Definitely one of the highlights of my trip!

The pasta menu is extensive and diverse with classics and some very unique options. We were all pleased with our choices. What stood out most to us was the hospitality. From start to finish, the staff was outstanding! Everyone we interacted with was so friendly, helpful and hospitable, all during a busy night. We would go back just for that hospitality alone.

One, if not, the best restaurant I’ve ever experienced! The food was exceptional, you can tell every single menu item was perfectly crafted. What really stood out to me at Torchio, was the love and pride all of the staff showed throughout our evening! Bibi was incredible and made our dining experience wonderful. Billy, the owner, was very humble and welcoming. He even bought us a round of Guinness at Brehon Pub across the street to show us his gratitude! Will definitely come visit every time I’m back in the city. Thanks for showing us Texans an authentic Chicago evening!

We had such a wonderful experience last night! Every staff member was kind and wonderful, but we were especially impressed with our server, Bebe (sorry if I spelled that wrong!). We very much enjoyed the garlic Alfredo fettuccine with shrimp, scallop pasta, short rib pappardelle and the asparagus side. My mom and my brother are visiting from Korea and the shrimp fettuccine has been their favorite dish they’ve tried in Chicago so far! We will be sure to return soon!!
