My experience at Torchio was unforgettable. Bebe my waitress was attentive and well mannered as well as all the staff was. The food never missed, I was super impressed by all the dishes I was served. The chef who created these dishes is well mastered and knows how turn food into an experience. I have a high standard when it comes to food such as freshness, quality of ingredients and taste and the team at Torchio exceeded my expectation. I will definitely be back and highly recommend!

If I could give Torchio more than 5 stars, I WOULD!!!!!!! This restaurant was an amazing experience in every way. The atmosphere was cozy but also personal. The great ambience is curated by the attentive servers… so kind and helpful. The espresso martinis here are definitely the best I’ve ever had. We shared the braised short rib and pappardelle and it was, again, one of the best plates I’ve had. Not too heavy, the sauce was perfectly balanced and that hint of red wine… I LOVE THIS PLACE. 10/10 recommend.

I love this place. The service is always top notch, the food is always spot on, and everything I've tried has been good enough to repeat order. Highly recommend the fried artichoke, lemon risotto, short rib pasta, rigatoni vodka, lemon cake, and lemon sorbet. I will be back again and again!

Our group of 6 had the best time at Torchio! The service was top notch, we were never searching for someone to help us, everything we needed was ready to go. We started with a bottle of wine and cocktails, shared a couple of apps, and then each ordered our own pasta dish. Everything was so delicious, comforting, and unique. We finished up with dessert and espresso martinis. Overall a great time!

Hands down our favorite local Italian restaurant. The food is AMAZING! I especially love seafood pasta and meatballs. You get a great serving size for the price and the quality of food is high. We love going inside the restaurant for date nights, it’s on the smaller side and a little casual, but this has become our favorite restaurant to order from for date night at home. They do a great job for carry out! The owners put a lot of care into the service and food quality. It feels like hug each time.

Torchio was disappointingly mediocre - it’s not worth your money. We got three pastas (midnight pasta, rigatoni alla vodka, orecchiette) and all three had overcooked & mushy pasta with bland, underseasoned, slightly greasy sauces. The bread here feels like the cheap fare you’d get at an elementary school, both for the complementary basket and for the crostini that came with the tomato tartare

What really added insult to injury was the price - the plates are absurdly expensive for the low quality ($27 for possibly the worst vodka pasta I’ve ever had). The portions are decently big, but that doesn’t feel like a win when the food is such a letdown

The pasta alone is worth the visit, but the wonderfully crafted cocktails, inviting ambience, and outstanding bartenders made this an unforgettable experience.

Amazing italian 10/10. We had 3 different pasta dishes: Orrechiette, capellini, Sunday Meat sauce. All were so good and well-balanced can’t go wrong with any depending on your preference. Arugula salad was a bit heavy on the lemon but still a good simple salad. Ambience was cozy good for groups/dates! Def recommend!

This restaurant is amazing! Met the owner, very nice man and had the best server we've ever had. Her name is Sophia. So knowledgeable, kind funny and attentive. We had the Arancini and fried artichoke heart for an appetizer. I had the Bechemal Bolognese Lasagna and my husband had the Braised Short Rib and Pappardelle. Absolutely amazing food and atmosphere! It's a must try!

Fabulous restaurant that captures ALL the important points of dining out. The decor and atmosphere are perfect with inviting seats at the bar or table in a cozy setting. The wait staff are friendly and there to please. The tables and dishes are cleaned during your dinner and glasses are always full. I loved the Calabrian chili red sauce so much that I asked for a container to go and the waiter made it happen! I was so happy! The food is amazing in a word. We had the Arancini, Caesar salad, pasta with scallops and a pasta with braised short ribs. Each dish was delicious and perfectly prepared and plated.
Don not sleep on Torchio- just run to get there. I’ll be back the next time I’m in Chicago.
