Fabulous restaurant that captures ALL the important points of dining out. The decor and atmosphere are perfect with inviting seats at the bar or table in a cozy setting. The wait staff are friendly and there to please. The tables and dishes are cleaned during your dinner and glasses are always full. I loved the Calabrian chili red sauce so much that I asked for a container to go and the waiter made it happen! I was so happy! The food is amazing in a word. We had the Arancini, Caesar salad, pasta with scallops and a pasta with braised short ribs. Each dish was delicious and perfectly prepared and plated. Don not sleep on Torchio- just run to get there. I’ll be back the next time I’m in Chicago.

My boyfriend and i’s first time in Chicago! This restaurant had the best food and the BEST staff. Cesar was clearing tables and refilling water and was the nicest man we have meet in a while. He’s the goat.

Dinner at Torchio was absolutely magical from start to finish. The food was outstanding — every bite was crafted with care and flavor. The bartenders were phenomenal, mixing creative drinks with such skill and personality that it added to the magic of the evening. And of course, the owner, Bill, was a stella individual. His genuine hospitality and presence make you feel like family the moment you walk in.
Everyone on the team made us feel so welcome and created an atmosphere that turned our date night into something truly memorable. Torchio continues to set the bar for what a perfect dining experience should be.

If you go just for the pasta, then 5 stars. Radiatore al telefono very good. Very saucy. Truffle fettuccine excellent.
The Bad Bread was nearly room temp, not particularly good, no butter. Caesar salad was good but basically a handful size, chopped small, price point a bit mismatched.
Lastly, I hate it when people do not write down your orders. Not only do they often mess it up but they have no way of double checking once the order is out. We literally ordered 5 things--2 drinks, salad, 2 entrees. I asked for scallops on the fettuccine but sadly they were forgotten. They did make up for it a tiny bit by bringing a lemon cake to go (unprompted).
Everything great! Felt like food could have been a little bit better for price point/location. Outdoor seating gorgeous. Dessert/cocktail nice pairing and definitely favorite part of the meal. Pasta great but I had hoped for a bit more protein in the sauce.

Don't pass on this incredible restaurant! Appetizers, Salads, Entrees, Cocktails, Excellent Service, Cozy and Lively Atmosphere! I can't speak on the Desserts, I didn't have any, next time I will try for sure! I am super picky when it comes to all Restaurants especially Italian being 100% Italian myself raised on quality food and with our Family Bakery. I'm looking forward to going back again soon, thank you for all you do Torchio!

Perfect experience! Amy greeted us and made us feel very welcome. Olivia was honestly the best server I’ve come across in a long time. Extremely helpful with suggestions/recommendations. So friendly while also giving us time alone. Hard to do that perfectly but she did. Started with cocktails. I had a very nice Boulevardier. Delighted with the Eggplant Caprese, Braised Short Rib & Pappardelle, Capellini & Mussels Oreganato, Lemon Olive Oil Cake & Vanilla Gelato. The owner Billy spent some time with us and really topped off a wonderful dinner. I wish we had gone directly from the airport when we landed. Then we could have gone twice during our stay.
