Four of us had finished a Skydeck Chicago visit late one afternoon and we were all hungry. We had a few hours before an architectural cruise. We happened to walk by Tortazo. The food was EXCELLENT! The man who helped us was very nice. We would all eat here again and give high recommendations!

Tortazo has hands down the best tortas around. My lunch was flavorful and filling while not being too heavy. I wish I had one back home!

Absolutely Delicious! I've been here 3 times now. Sometimes you have to wait a little bit, but it's worth the wait for me. Hands down, the best tortas I've ever had. Rick Bayless knocked it out of the park with this place. I have always missed Frontera Fresca at Old Orchard, this is a nice replacement.

Great food, but too expensive for relatively small portions in an overcrowded food court in sears tower downtown Chicago. Ok at best. Cant get past paying 15$ + tax for two small tacos (no drinks or sides). Takes advantage of the corporate/business lunch crowd and tourists.

I've had Tortazo in Harrahs Joliet. This is similar and I enjoyed the experience. The chicken quesadillas were delicious. I will be back again.

On a whim got the steak torta. It was moist, flavorful and delish, plus the green salsa was wonderfully spiced with lots of cilantro. Atmosphere is ok, it can get busy and feels like a slightly elevated mall crowd. But food was good so that’s what counts. With tax it was $19 so a bit on the pricier side, sandwich Was not huge, but decent size.

Restaurantji Recommends
Food was good, but I was honestly surprised they don’t offer refills for my drink (unsweetened iced tea). When I asked why, they said it’s because they make their drinks from scratch 😂 — but come on, every restaurant does that!

The food a little salty, the staff for picking up your order forgets the name of the person. Prices are economical. A lot of places to sit and eat , bring napkins they only give you one and no spoon for the salsa
