About Tortello

Tortello is a must-visit spot in Chicago, offering an unparalleled dining experience. The restaurant serves authentic Italian food made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, including eggs sourced from trusted suppliers. Dario, the owner, provides exceptional service, making guests feel at home with his kind and engaging demeanor. The menu features freshly made delicate pasta, including traditional favorites like Cacio e Pepe and Cavatelli Al Pesto, which are expertly prepared and packed with flavor. Visitors can also enjoy the Focaccia Ricotta & Honey, which has been praised as ridiculously good. The Signature Tortelli di Burrata is another highlight, bursting with imported burrata from Puglia and topped with butter, sage, and toasted hazelnuts. With a great selection of wine, Tortello is a gem that exceeds expectations. The restaurant has a stylish layout, with a corner area where the kitchen staff makes pasta. Guests can order at the counter and even purchase pasta and sauces to make at home. While it may be a bit pricey compared to nearby restaurants and can get crowded during dinner time, the experience is well worth it. Tortello stands out as one of the best authentic Italian restaurants many have had in the States, leaving diners eager to return. The beautiful decor enhances the overall experience, making it a place to remember.
