Had the best cavatelli pesto dish here! Tasted like every ingredient was high quality and the ambience outside was so lovely
I went here last week and I still think about the food, it has been great and will come back here soon again!
Delicious food in a wonderful environment!
Great pasta and atmosphere
Simply the best restaurant in Wicker Park and the best bang for your buck in Chicago!
Best pasta in the neighborhood ❤️
Everything was good. Definitely one of the most memorable restaurants I ate in Chicago. Absolutely would come back.
We drove down from Milwaukee. I’ve been wanting to try Tortello since they’ve opened and I found out that they source their eggs from where I get mine (they are the best). Dario was kind, friendly, and extremely engaging. The food was fantastic. We started with Focaccia Ricotta & Honey which was ridiculously good. I had the spaghetti pomodoro which was perfectly balanced sauce to pasta to cheese. My husband had the Cacio e Pepe and devoured it. Our son had the Kids Lumache and ate half (he’s only two) and inhaled the rest tonight. It smelled even better the second time around if that’s possible. Best authentic Italian I’ve had in the States. Felt great after too, not like I’d eaten a pound of pasta. If you aren’t making plans to go sometime soon…you’re missing out!
Freshly made delicate pasta served in a stylish restaurant that has a corner area with kitchen staff making pasta. You order at the counter. There is an option to purchase the pasta and sauces to make it at home.
Everything was fantastic. The only downsides are it's a bit pricey in terms of portions and ingredients compared to nearby restaurants, and it gets crowded over the weekend and dinner time. They don't take reservations.

This place was fantastic. The pasta was as good as any I have ever had. We had the traditional spaghetti and cacio e Pepe. The spaghetti good, but the cacio e Pepe was amazing. The service couldn’t be better. We really enjoyed the fact that they did classes on site.

We came on a Saturday night. Wait was only 20 minutes. You have to order at the counter then find a spot to sit which isn’t my favorite, especially for the prices. Pasta was good, but I don’t totally get the hype. Espresso martinis were good. Idk if I’ll be back, but it was nice to experience.

This restaurant is so quaint and lovely with the most amazing food. No reservations, put your name down, then order at the counter. Get a number and sit where directed. Pasta is cooked to a lovely al dente. They also have at home kits for pasta and sauces. They offer desserts and drinks as well. Everything is very flavorful. Will be returning.
Online you can tell which dishes can become vegetarian but not as clear inside the restaurant so be sure to ask when ordering!!

This place transports me back to italy with its house wine and delicious pastas. Highly recommend the burrata and the focaccia and honey!
Vegetarian options: Lots of pasta options without meat. My personal favorite is the pesto option.

Such a lowkey, down to earth restaurant. This visit was my first authentic Italian restaurant experience and it exceeded expectations. They make their pasta in house and all of the food was fresh. Whenever I’m back in Chicago, I will eat here again. Highly recommend!

I was disappointed they switched out the menu due to the season changing because I really was looking forward to the Squid Ink Bucatini & Prawns. I was on the verge of crying I stg (might be the pregnancy hormones haha) but anyway I ended up ordering the Spaghetti and it was absolutely delicious and filling! I also got the Focaccia bread with Ricotta & Honey which was exquisite. The tiramisu was uniquely made and tasty I loved the added texture couldn’t figure out if it was chocolate chips or something else it was delicious nonetheless and I received a complimentary ice cream to make up for the menu change which was very kind of our server. I wish I got her name, she was very help and the service here in general was amazing. The entire staff was kind and welcoming. I will definitely be going back!
