We saw a YouTube video from Guy Fieri on this place and had to stop. Was absolutely amazing!! Everything is fresh made and ingredients imported from Italy.

Waited about 20 minutes and it was worth the wait!! We had the Cacio e Pepe and Cavatelli Al pesto along with the Pizza fritta everything was so delicious 10/10 will definitely be going back to try out more items off the menu. Service was great everything was well organized and ran smoothly.

I liked their pasta, but the pesto is a bit salty and the bread was not fresh unfortunately

Everything was phenomenal. Nothing too fancy, very solid pasta that isn’t too heavy. It was a great spot for lunch.

Tortello is absolutely amazing! The food is so fresh, and the handmade pasta is on another level. We tried the Signature Tortelli di Burrata — bursting with imported burrata from Puglia, topped with butter, sage, toasted hazelnuts, parmigiano, and a drizzle of balsamic. It literally melted in our mouths! Only wish it came with 6 pieces instead of 4 because it was sooo good.
My favorite, though, has to be the Squid Ink Bucatini — perfectly cooked with prawns, homemade roasted tomato butter, shallots, cherry tomatoes, lemon, and basil. Every bite was full of flavor and so satisfying.
On top of that, the decor is beautiful, making the whole experience even more special. This was the very first spot we checked out in Chicago, and it was definitely worth it!

Tortello was absolutely A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
I think we ordered half of the menu! Honestly one of the best & freshest meals we have had! My husband & I met our 2 adult sons and we all LOVED it!
From the Insalata di Polpo (octopus salad) & Burrata salad to the appetizers of Ricotta di Pecora & Focaccia, Ricotta & Honey... We were thrilled from the beginning!
Then came the most delicious pastas - so fresh, such quality ingredients & beautiful!
We each had a different favorite pasta but honestly it was so hard to pick our favorite....WE LOVED THEM ALL! We dined outside.
Thanks for an amazing experience!

My husband took me here for my birthday. It did not disappoint. We got the foccacia with honey and ricotta and the tagliatelle tina. The foccacia was very fresh and soft. The ricotta and honey was not overly sweet and added subtle creaminess to the savory flavor of the bread. The tagliatelle tina had an amazing texture.
Lastly, we got their tiramisu. It was creamy but not overly cakey or heavy like commercial made ones. You can tell the chocolate powder on top is fresh and the coffee flavor is very deep in the lady fingers.
Hands down, I would come here again. They do not take reservations. Seating is first come first serve.

Overpriced. Food is not at the level it should be for that price. You can tell they're trying to be inventive with the dishes but they just don't land in flavor or portions. Not worth your time or the wait (no, reservations are not accepted).
The vibe inside is not great and it's disappointing that that outdoors has a better vibe but there is limited seating. Also, if you think you can excape the heat by seating inside, think again! I was hotter inside. Left sweating.
If you think that's not bad enough, consider this: I have actually dinned here beforore. As soon as I saw the food, it all came back to me and I realized why this dining experience had faded from my memory. Sad in those years that no improvements have been made.
Will not return, writing this review to make sure if that

Dont get me wrong, really good. Very authentic. Service was great.
However, my paccheri was almost soft, I thought it would be a tiny bit more aldente.
And yeah could be a one time thing, but come on I wanted to crave to come back here
And gave atmosphere 4/5 because outside isgreat, but inside has weirs soundscape.

Any place that is family owned and operated, where the owner is always accessible, and he has a passion that’s evident in everything he does, is my kind of place! Tortello has reached a level of excellence that is rare in today’s scene. Close your eyes and pick a dish on the menu and I promise it will be brilliant. Can’t say enough of about this restaurant. Chicago is lucky to have it!
