This is a must visit spot in Chicago - an experience unlike any other. The food is so fresh and the ingredients are so pure. The owner, Dario, is so personable and the quick service is great. If you’re visiting town, make time to visit - you won’t be disappointed.

-Authentic Italian food-After more that 20 days travelling the US, I was needing and looking for real italian food. I found it in Tortello!I had high expectations based on the online reviews and they were exceeded. The food is amazing, authentic italian with top quality ingredients. Great selection of wine. Dario, the owner, makes you feel at home. I stopped for lunch and went back for dinner! If you have a minute in Chicago, you can't miss this place!Thank you Tortello for the amazing experience!

We consider ourselves extremely lucky to have found this gem while on mini vaca from Delaware. Authentic Italian fare executed simply, but packed with flavor and texture. The owner was so friendly and you can tell every employee takes pride in their work and is on top of their game. We'd visit Chicago again for this place alone...cin cin!!

Good food but definitely pricey. It is not really a sit down restaurant. You order and pay at the register and then they bring your food to you.

Cannot say anything but wonderful things about this experience. Thank you very much for the wonderful food.
Used to love tortello, and while the pasta itself is still really good and cooked to perfection, the sauces were one dimensional, portions seemed smaller and overall the bill for 2 being 100$ (1 veg pasta each, 1 bread, 1 soda, 1 beer) didn’t seem worth it. The food was a bit under seasoned / lacking in flavor I remember tortello having. Not sure id come back, might pick their retail pasta instead.
Glad we went, won’t be in a hurry back as there are plenty of other great Italian options that are more affordable and just as tasty.Three adults and a child. Friday at 4, started picking up around five. They are walk in only and have high chairs.Fours mains, bread, salad and a craft of table red for $180. Then they ask for a tip to take your order…major pet peeve…Person taking order is nice and food came quick and coursed out (no one there).Tortelinis - four of them, too doughy and ehhhDuck pasta - best we had but there was a large skinny bone in the ragu. Major choking hazard and the staff seemed uncaring when we told them. Glad we didn’t give to our kid…Sausage special in white sauce - meh. Needed more cheese and some chili or pepper. Was very one noteKids ragu - good, earthy deep red sauce. Just pricey…Focaccia was best bite we hadEggplant salad also very goodOnce you ordered service was non existent other than running plates. If you want to order dessert you go back to the register.
Food was good , got take out dinner. recieved a smaller than appetizer potion for 30$

I've been to Tortello a few times over the years and I'm never disappointed with the dishes I get. We were celebrating a birthday because we love this place so much and knew we were in for a treat. Both of the pastas we got were excellent, especially the one with hazelnuts, and we had the focaccia which was delightful and came out warm, especially good on a chilly spring day.I really want to try some of the dessert offerings but had eaten so much that I'll have to come back and give them a shot next time.Vegetarian options: If you're unfamiliar with some of the ingredients used in the dishes, the staff is happy to help and inform you about which options are vegetarian. There were at least a handful to choose from.
