Package of food came damaged from an improper seal which was no fault of Tovala's, they did offer a credit for that meal. Since the packages of meat are not double packaged, quite a number of other items in the box ended up with liquid on them from raw meat, this could have easily been avoided by putting raw proteins within another container/bag to ensure nothing else becomes contaminated. Found the food to be on par with perhaps better quality frozen dinners but not worth the $12+ they charge per meal and definitely don't expect gourmet quality as you will be disappointed. No option to cancel the service from the website. Went with the Pro oven, is nice and do like the functionality of it, but the food quality price value have a little to be desired.

Buyer Beware. You have to pay before you can see the menu. I paid for the oven. I eat gluten and dairy free. There definitely were some good options, but they were extremely high in sodium. I emailed customer support 10 minutes after my order to cancel. 2 days later I received an email asking me to choose my meals. I called customer service and asked to cancel. I was told it was too late and the oven had shipped. I was then told I would be emailed a return label which I have not yet received. I was also told my credit card would not be charged, but it was. C’mon Tovala, you can do better.

The meals are delicious and really are only a few mins of prep. Beyond that the oven is so fun to use to cool way more than the Tovala meals. So far everything I’ve tried tastes way better in this machine than cooking it any other way.

I’ll start by saying the meals are very tasty, when they arrive. My delivery was scheduled for Monday, and here now Wednesday and no meals. Their delivery service, UDS, is unreliable at best. It’s great that they gave me “Tovala Credit” for the missing box to apply towards my next delivery, but what about the extra money I have to spend this week on meal prep I hadn’t planned for? Customer service is condescending and unhelpful to say the least. I’m unfortunately on the verge of sending a smart oven into orbit. Update: they can’t change delivery carriers until you’ve had a history of missed deliveries. I won’t likely be continuing.

I love the oven. Even without anything to scan it’s a great everyday “toaster” oven. Meals are effortless to prepare and cook. Everything turns out perfectly. Most of the meals are very tasty and there is always a good variety of food to choose from. Customer Service is immediate and helpful. I have no complaints. This is a great option for a single person who prefers to eat a nice meal at home.

The meals are decent, however, the customer service is sorely lacking. The initial delivery of the oven took much longer than anticipated. This weeks order of meals was supposed to be delivered yesterday and was not. They were delivered this afternoon and the meals were ruined. I asked customer service about sending me replacement meals as the services part of my meal prep. They said they could not do that. All they can do is give me a credit. Not very impressed with the assistance received to date.
I love Tovala! Really wonderful food and choices each week are great. I decided to try Tovala while my kitchen was being remodeled and really happy with that decision. One of the great benefits is I can have different meals each night of the week instead of eating the same meal for 4 days which tends to happen when you are single and cooking. Also I feel I save money in the long run as I am purchasing a meal all complete and not all the ingredients to make that meal which as you know you can’t just buy a 1/3 cup of chopped cabbage you must buy the whole head. The oven is great for cooking other foods and I find I use it quite a bit. Give it a try its really great!

For a single working woman, it assures that I have three good healthy meals per week and I find myself really looking forward to them! It's so easy and the food is of good quality, so what's not to like. If anything, I may increase the number of meals per week I order. It seems much more economical than going to the grocery store also. I'm pretty sold on Tovala and I was a real skeptic. For a single person or a couple this is pretty hard to beat! I would recommend anyone try Tovala, especially if you are single or if there are just two of you. ~Kathy G
