Just a heads up- Traspasada restaurant on Ashland and Addison discriminates against disabled people and people who take public transit. I asked them to have customers stop illegally parking in the bus lane and in front of the stop, and they said it's not their business and they don't care. Don't eat here.

They let customers park in the bus lane and block the bus stop so that people can't ride the bus. They should tell customers not to park blocking the bus lane in front of the restaurant.

Unique Flavors, Unforgettable Meal I had a truly fantastic dining experience at Traspasada Restaurant. I was impressed by their bold and unique flavors, starting with the black salsa. It was my first time trying anything like it, and it was incredibly flavorful and unique. The real highlight, however, was the octopus tacos. Also a first for me, they were absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked and incredibly satisfying. The entire meal was a delightful surprise. I can't wait to go back and try more from their menu. Highly recommend!

Traspasada is a hidden gem in Avondale. I grabbed the Torta Ahogada and the Pozole Rojo de Puerco. The torta was packed with flavor, and the pozole had that perfect balance of spice and comfort. Service was friendly, and the vibe was cozy. Total came to about $35, and it was worth every penny. Highly recommend!

Definitely dine in. The black salsa is fantastic. My wife and I both got the quesabirria tacos with consomé and they were excellent. Greatly seasoned with fantastic salt levels. Definitely needs to become a regular item on the menu!

Just ordered take out from here. Ordered the pozole, cebollitas, and nopales. Everything is so delicious they packaged the soup so well (no spilling/still hot) and they give you a huge helping of pozole. There were also a lot of cebollitas (not just 2/3 like some places) which were so good and the Mexican nopales were great. So impressed with the pozole as well the pork was so tender. I will be eating it for the next couple of days! Couldn’t recommend it more. I will be ordering or visiting again ☺️

The food tastes good but the tacos are generally underfilled and underwhelming for the price. The price is unjustifiable the for quality and quantity of food.
Excellent! I ordered from them last night. The food was exceptional! I have had Mexican food from many restaurants in the area and this one took it to the next level. Steak is of high quality and it was tender juicy and well seasoned. No nerve crunch on any bites. The fries were not greasy another thing on so many restaurants. What can I say that dark salsa it was a delicious surprise. I am beyond pleased with this restaurant will be my go to spot in the future!
