We attend the Jamie O’Reilly events and the small potions tasty menu is always wonderful.

Sounds like the place added the name "Swedish restaurant" as a trap; it was more like American-SwedISH style. The food and the quality of the ingredients were average, I could easily name 10 better places without checking a list.Very disappointed not seeing Scandinavian snacks/appetizers on the menu; forget about the high fructose products they have; I expected to see more "natural" items (e.g. Lou Mitchell's orange jam). The Tre Kronor is one of the few places that I have visited that is extremely overrated. Having a meal in a restaurant should be a COMPLETE experience, based on the available offers/factors, thus, the food is only one part of it (e.g. we don't expect good seats in a food truck experience). We understand there is a line when the places decide not to take reservations, no problem (p.e. Au Cheval). Long waits for the food seems to be normal here, waiter did not apologize for the delays, getting refill of coffee felt like waiting for an eclipse, nor the service was attentive at all (no hygge, I guess).Waiting a lot for your food to be served could be understandable since places get busy, or it is sort of acceptable due to the OTHER factors of the experience (e.g. Terrace 16). The reason why some restaurants have available tables, but they don't take more patrons, could be because there is no enough staff or the kitchen is "smaller", compared to the seating count. This way, customers are not waiting forever and get hangry; here doesn't matter.Additionally, keeping the menu simple helps, Kronor's menu is relatively small & simple, but still it was a long wait.Funny they offer you to visit the Swedish Shop, that is across the street, so you wait for your turn, but The restaurant itself doesn't offer foodstuff from the shop (at least I did not see it). It should be nice to see something in the menu from the shop or allowing you to buy something and consume it in the place (sort of corkage), or just offer a product on the table with a price tag.The seats/tables/space of the restaurant are so uncomfortable (ok, IKEA-ish got it!). In my experience, sporadically, they were offering a place to hang your coat, (I better think that way), I wasn't that lucky, but the handwriting menu was cool, even if it wasn't truly handwritten.

Cute neighborhood place with friendly service. But quiche was undercooked and crust was soggy from fruit juice. Suggest serving fresh fruit in a separate bowl or plate to avoid having the fruit juices make the crust soggy. And pop that quiche back in the oven for at least 5 more minutes.
I e been going to this place for years- they have the best quiche in town. The staff is always friendly and fast, and the food never disappoints.

I called to order an item ahead. The snotty (and snooty) guy who answered the phone was like we need 24 hours. I was bummed, but I said okay, it can be ready later in the day. Then, he said well we're actually just really busy (as he was flipping through pages of a schedule of commercial orders) so we can't do it. I said well, what about the next day after that--I understand the holiday season is busy. He was like, we can't help you--like, no matter when I said I wanted it, he wasn't going to be able to accommodate an order from me. This is fine; they aren't the only place in the city to get breakfast and brunch fare, but he didn't have to be so nasty and condescending about it--it's food. Most of the staff are lovely and kind; this guy, though, is horrible. Like, he shouldn't be allowed to answer the phone...ever.

Delectable food, cozy atmosphere and service that always makes you feel at home. Tre Kronor provides you with warmth and comfort in the fall/winter and freshness and renewal in the spring/summer. The menu is full of your old favorites along with seasonal additions and out of this world pastries.
