This is a location we have been wanting to try and were left extremely impressed! Wonderful service, food, and vibes. Alejandro was extremely friendly and attentive. Chicken and Waffles were some of the best we’ve tried! Chilaquiles were impeccable, loads of flavor. Can’t wait to come back!!

Words can’t fully capture how much I love this place. Anytime I have visitors in Chicago, Tribu is a must—and without fail, they’re completely blown away. The house potatoes are perfectly seasoned, the lattes are absolutely incredible, and honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The entire staff is warm and welcoming, with a special shoutout to Gerardo for always making the experience exceptional. I’m so grateful to live close to Tribu—and if I’m being honest, I almost want to gatekeep it because it’s just that good!!!!!!!

Fantastic place! Second time I've eaten there, always with five of us who all have different things. And once again every food item was off the charts fresh and delicious and made exactly how we asked for the special order people. Bacon super crispy, pancakes were super good and I am super picky with pancakes! Vegetables in the omelette were crazy fresh and done perfectly, bread was great for sandwiches and turkey was fresh and avocado was fresh and all of it was wonderful! Fruit was amazing! A side of fruit head tons of fresh pineapple and strawberries and blueberries and grapes etc. Potatoes were so delicious as were the fries. And just as good as the food are the servers and the owner! Each one is nicer than the next and they genuinely seem to care about the customers and their food and their experience! Atmosphere is like a great family restaurant with a fantastic mural on the wall. Tables are nicely spaced apart so you're not on top of anyone else. Couldn't recommend this place more highly! Hidden gem!

Very fast service for a weekend! Came here and tried their eggs benedict and was not surprised! Staff was super friendly and quick to take my order and I was in and out in less than 30 mins! Also really liked the unique art displays on the walls.
Will definitely be stopping here again next time I’m in Chicago.

I recently discovered Tribu Caffe and was blown away by the great service and food. The chilaquiles transported me back to Mexico! Everything was fresh and the portions were huge. I also enjoyed an iced latte to top off the experience. I would highly recommend Tribu Caffe if you’re looking for a tasty and affordable brunch spot in the neighborhood.

This past Friday, January 3, 2026 I joined a friend at a new spot for lunch, turns out this place is a winner, in ever sense!! Tribu Caffe is located at 3856 N Ashland Ave Chicago, IL 60613. The atmosphere is simple and welcoming, bright and great choice of seating options. The menu has many great choices including daily specials. Based on our server, Myron, I tried the Beef Brisket Hash. No mistaking the care taken by the Chef here, this was perfectly prepared and when I requested a small adjustment to the preparation it was accommodated with a smile!
This should be added to you MUST try and I say frequent Tribu Caffe often.
Myron was the icing on this exceptional dining experience so do yourself a favor and ask for him when you visit!!
Two thumbs up!!

The food and service at Tribu Caffe was top notch. We came in for breakfast and are so glad we did. A highlight was their house potatoes which are packed with flavor. I’m not sure what they use to season them, but they were fire!
I got the two eggs your way (over medium) with a side of fruit and white toast. Everything was delicious. I also got a cup of chicken noodle soup and licked the cup clean. It was the perfect addition to my meal on a cold and rainy day.
My mom got the parfait which she said was really good. The portion was huge so she got the rest to go. If you’re looking for a smaller plate, I recommend asking for a half portion to see if that’s an option.
The service was great and all the staff we talked to were so friendly. I can’t wait to come back and try their Brisket Hash which they recently added as a special 4 weeks ago. Thank you Tribu!
