Wonderful experience! The food was delicious and I have to point out the cornbread as the star. It was steaming hot when we cut into it and it was amazing with the butter they provided. Next stop in Chicago, we're going again.

I normally don't go to places at this price point, but it was worth it.

STAY AWAY FRIM HERE: I ordered from the crispy fried chicken from and it was the most disgusting thing I’ve ever eaten. The chicken was undercooked and RAW. On top of that taking one bite from the chicken gave me food poisoning the next day. Not only that I paid $100 for raw chicken, bread and a very mediocre vodka rigatoni. I DO. NOT recommend this establishment to anyone that comes to Chicago, by far the WORST experience I’ve ever had ordering from a restaurant

EDIT 03/29/24:Got an email today saying I got a refund for the booking fee as well as the surcharge. I was also told that "The restaurant surcharge is in place to help us offset the rising costs of food, beverage, labor, benefits, supplies, and more. It is added to all checks but can always be removed upon request."I've upgraded my rating to 4/5. I appreciate the response, but I still don't agree with those fees. Just raise your menu prices.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Another toxic Chicago racket. In this one, booking a reservation actually costs you money! Yep - they do not apply the deposit to your final bill or refund it - they just keep the money for you making the reservation. Then, they charge a 3.25% “restaurant surcharge” on your final bill. A surcharge for what exactly??? Covid is over. At least fake it and call it “employee benefit” or some other made up thing. It’s a shame because our waitress was top notch and we would have tipped her 20%, but after deducting the silly surcharge and the deposit it came down to 15%, so good job on screwing over your waitstaff.Vote with your wallet - don’t let them get away with it.

2nd time visiting! As soon as you walk in, you will feel magical ! ✨ as a sister restaurant of Ciccio mio, gilt bar, and bavette’s, you can get to try some signature dishes from other places. My favs are: surprisingly cheese burger & their artichoke gratin.I love their frozen rosé vodka too!

One of the better straight vodka sauces Ive had before, but it was very very small, ESPECIALLY for the significantly higher price for the dish vs. the average in Chicago. I got take out, but ate it fresh right when I got to the car, haha. The service was great, thorough, and very friendly though while I waited. I’d maybe consider eating here again, but now Im hesitant that the portions won’t justify the price.

Ate at Lobster Bar inside Trivoli and we were disappointed by the seafood. For starters, the oysters were good, but the coconut shrimp was dry and we mostly tasted the batter. The lobster roll was super disappointing and honestly tasted like imitation lobster drenched in mayo and spices. The Branzino also fell flat and tasted more like a cheaper perch. The mushroom side dish was probably our favorite but soo heavy. The prices just did not live up to the food quality. We also left feeling so sick and full and woke up still feeling off and had upset stomachs all day.

My visit to Trivoli Tavern was delightful. The succulent pork ribs, perfectly cooked steak, and rich truffle bucatini were highlights. The sticky date cake and Oaxacan Old Fashioned cocktail rounded off the meal perfectly. The dim lighting and good music created a cozy and enjoyable atmosphere.

This is a wonderful and unique experience. Four of us dined on a Saturday evening and the place was packed out. Reservations are a must.Drinks were really good although I ordered the rum Old Fashioned and it was mediocre. Can’t stand OF that use a cup of ice cubes instead of a single large cube. As the ice melted I had a watery, bad drink. Others ordered the Black Manhattan and Bees Knees which were excellent. For dinner we ordered a couple salmon meals, the coal fired chicken and a steak. I had the chicken and it was spectacular. The side dish of mushroom was a hit.Service was attention and well timed. The one knock. Turn down the music in the dining area. We could barely hear the waiter and struggled to hear each other talk. In hind site we should have addressed this with our waiter.Overall this is a wonderful experience!

What a wonderful pre-date night spot here in Chicago - the seats at the bar magically opened up for us as we were galavanting throughout the neighborhood - we ate several sides and enjoyed smart wines and wonderful selfie-taking here! A perfect spot with kind customer service and great host team to help even when its packed!

I’ve dined at Trivoli a number of times over the years and truly have never been that impressed. While I’ve always loved the atmosphere, my last few visits have been pretty underwhelming when it comes to food and service. Tonight, that changed and it is all thanks to our fantastic waiter, Finn. Finn was super impressive and a true example of what exceptional looks like. He went above and beyond to ensure we had the best possible dining experience from start to finish. He was attentive and polite but also so much fun, making us feel like we were guests in his own home. I swear it’s like he somehow even made the food taste better. I have never had such a pleasant dining experience here at Trivoli, or truthfully anywhere. Finn has truly helped changed my mind about Trivoli. He is proof that giving great service truly makes a difference and I can’t wait to come back and dine with him again. This establishment is so lucky to have him!
