The barista ignored me when I walked in and didn’t say anything to me. I didn’t really think anything of it. But then I went to order a drink clearly labeled on the drink menu. The barista says nothing to me and puts a second menu in my face. This second menu also lists that drink on the menu so I order again. So a THIRD time she takes some random paper from the side that says no iced black tea. You know how you could have told me that the first time? If you just said we have no iced black tea. Weird service here.

Horrible coffee, horrible service. The lady stayed at a distance and didn’t greet me a man walked in behind me and she walked up looked past me shrugged and said hello to him. When I told her I was there first and gave her my order she silently rang it up and asked what she could get him. She then handed his coffee directly to him thanked him and continued to make mine. She didn’t hand it directly to me but rather set it down at a different part of the bar. As a frequent coffee drinker and Hyde park resident, I will never be back. What an incredibly bad first impression and way to treat people.

After years of going here I can no longer support this business. I have been spoken to rudely *twice* by the barista for simply waiting by the door to get into the café after their posted opening hours. Some of the servers are nice, but this woman has a nasty attitude. I won’t be spending another dollar here.

The service here is always atrocious and unwelcoming. It's as if you're bothering the lady who works the coffee bar. She makes it challenging to support this small business. Either she's too busy, they are out of stock on something, or she's upset that she has to go to the back to retrieve it. Today, I visited and asked her to wipe down a table where I could sit and work. She basically waved me off and said, "Wait," as she continued to clean and change the trash behind the bar. After 10 minutes of standing and watching her, I left to go to Starbucks! Very nasty, very unwelcoming. This attitude has been constant for the 5 years that I've lived in the area, and today was the last day. I will NOT spend another dollar here. The owners need to address this!

I visit during the week in the AM. My favorite barista makes the best lattes. Try a specialty latte as a treat and many times they can make it year round. Great cafe to meet up with friends or get work donw.
The atmosphere and service is really good however the drink I ordered (hot chocolate) did not taste like much so I was pretty disappointed. My sister got a latte which tasted better so I feel the drinks were a hit or miss. I also got the pesto sandwich and that was pretty tasty but also very small.
