Truluck's Ocean's Finest Seafood and Crab

Pricy but foods were so tasty and had great portions on each meu. Service from the waiter was so bad. My mother-in-law took me here to treat me for Mother's day 2022 and I picked this place. I regret choosing this place because she is still talking about how bad the waiter's service was. I still have no idea why the waiter had such a bad attitude to us. Even though we love the food, we will not go back to this place. Giving 2 stars because of tasty foods, otherwise will give only 1 star.

August 6th, 2022. Their AC was out and it was 94F outside. Need I say more about why I likely won't go back during the summer. Food was great, ambiance was poor, it was difficult to enjoy the food with the sweltering heat.

The service here was very good. Our servicer Ababa was phenomenal...and those staff members who came by to support. The service was the only thing they have right as the food itself wasn't to the level of expectation based on the location & price point. We had a ribeye & salmon dish w/crab fried rice. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for a meal. Drinks & music ambiance maybe.

I would recommend this place for dinner, especially when Nyla McDaniel is singing!We called ahead to see who was performing, and when we heard it was Nyla we rushed in to get a table. The service, food and drinks were great, and sitting in the bar area with live music was really what made the evening outstanding.The food and drink that I liked most were the crab fried rice and spicy blackberry margarita. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

The lobster bisque was terrible it was way too rich it almost tasted like a tomato soup and too much tomato paste. Lobster Mac was also really bad noodles were over cooked and did not taste Like lobster Mac at all... salmon was pretty good. Kinda plain tho... The steak was decent and mash were okay... very over priced not best quality food... the waitress was super nice Tho! Great service and the ambiance was beautiful

Crab cakes delicious best in the City of Chicago. Live entertainment was outstanding. Love the fruit service with the water. Salmon was ordered well done and although not usual request for Salmon brought to table lukewarm. Problem was rectified immediately however manager was rude with response that fish was cooked through. Had dinner there a few days earlier and service had been outstanding. It seemed a little off this night but might be due to it was a Friday and crowded. Restaurant is beautiful and socially distanced. I will definitely recommend and plan to go back. Hopefully it will be one of my new favorite restaurants.

We enjoyed our dining experience from the time of our arrival to departure. We were welcomed and served with warmth and skill. Our waiter was very helpful with menu choices and answered all our questions. The food was fantastic from appetizer to dessert.

Perfect location and excellent food. Just finished the Under Armour 10K and needed high quality nourishment. Truluck did not disappoint. Food and service were great on a quiet Sunday evening. I would highly recommend

Solo dinner after an afternoon of meetings. Attentive and friendly service. Food was great, bar forgot to bring out my cocktail, but otherwise everything was terrific. Mediterranean Branzino was awesome!

Unfortunately a large party was sat in our section and took all the attention from the servers so we were left a bit unattended to. The salt and pepper calamari was very good as well as the salads, the main courses ( steak and crab legs) were just ok. We didn't get dessert even though it was my wife's 50th birthday because we were waiting too long to order. The staff was trying very hard - they just had too much too handle. It does seem like a very good place and maybe we just got a bad night.

I was so happy I selected this establishment to celebrate my birthday yesterday. The staff was amazing from when I entered until the moment we left. The food was delicious and drinks were amazing as well. I loved the entertainer, Nyla - she has a beautiful voice. This will be added to my monthly outings whether entertaining friends visiting from out of town or simply after leaving the office.

We really enjoyed our time at Trulucks Ocean Seafood. The atmosphere was really nice and enjoyable. The food was great and so was our waitress. The next time we are in Chicago we be know exactly where to dine. :)

An overall wonderful evening for a birthday celebration. Great cocktails and delicious / fresh seafood. Nice ambiance - calm and relaxed on a Sunday night. Will definitely return....

Excellent upscale restaurant. Piano music playing. Great bare area. Dining area was very comfortable. All our food was excellent from crab cakes to steak to our sides. Would truly recommend for any occasion.
