I was so surprised to find this excellent place. The waitstaff knew we had a quick turnaround and they suggested appetizers that would arrive quickly. I loved the artichoke. We had dirty martinis and they were delicious. The bruschetta was a little tough. The restaurant itself is so lovely!
The best ravioli I've ever had ! We did take out so I am not sure how it is in there, but I will definitely be going again with the family. Highly recommend

Venerable neighborhood institution; one can still view the window through which Mama Tufano would pass the food from her home kitchen into the dining addition. Simple fare (the menu is a chalkboard), done well. The bar is popular, too. Cash or check (!) only. ATM available.Parking: Area street parking is for residents only, but there's an 'in house, no charge' valet and the campus lot they lease is across the street, so quick service.

I have tried to hit this place for the last 15 years whenever I am in Chicago. Excellent Italian food, beautiful setting and th staff makes you feel like family.
