The food was horrible. Mac and cheese, had no flavor (bland), Collard Greens, had sugar in them, and the Red beans, taste like they just came out of the can. Never again.

So disappointed! Turkey tips are old and dried out! Rice has no flavor. Sauce tast like mold. The bbq havenly meal smh.. Sausages not done and the Turkey leg is just a smoked pice of meat they got from the store they didn't smoke it in house! The mac and cheese they forgot the cheese. Don't waste your time or money i spent $97 don't do it!

I love this place i wish they were dine in because I want to dive right in my food. I am hooked on the Sundays Best and a piece of Carmel cake. I have tried other things not much because when it's good it's good.
Kid-friendliness: Cashier was so nice and considerate to child she waited patiently while child said what she wanted. It was adorable. Yet this cashier is at the register every time I go. I'm always after work right before they close.

I had the Thanksgiving dinner. The smoked turkey leg was amazing. The dressing was sweet and not much flavorful. The mac & cheese was good, but not as cheesy as I would have expected. The greens were not good. I could definitely taste the vinegar which was a turn off. The yams tasted as if I was eating pure sugar so I threw those in the garbage along with the greens. As far as this location, I will never go back because it’s in the ghetto so if I do give them a second shot, I will order delivery and I will only order the turkey legs. Now I’m willing to try other options but whoever the chef is needs to reevaluate their recipe.

I went to this place yesterday excited to finally try a stuffed turkey leg in Chicago and was highly disappointed. I won't be going back I can't name one redeeming quality about this place other than the nice lady at the front counter. The food lacked flavor and was kind of cold like it was just pulled out of the microwave. Honestly I felt robbed. I got the BBQ Heaven and a side of macaroni. Everything was under seasoned and cold. Also i went at noon there was no reason for it to be this way they opened at 11 am. Please if you go at least go home and warm it up yourself. Overall TRASH

First timer here and I ordered the thanksgiving stuffed turkey plate. The plate was delicious. Something was missing with them greans, but still good. I loved everything else…Good Mac and cheese, greats yams and that dressing was everything. Turkey leg had an every strong smoked taste. But I still slammed that plate. Definitely going to come back and try other items.

I like the food, but I just ordered the same thing I ordered a month ago and it wasn't quite right. The smothered turkey chops are huge and taste funny. The skin on it is super thick. Didn't look like it was turkey at all

Food - Soul food is subjective. We got the Sunday Dinner. The dressing was sweet, why is it sweet? The yams were far too sweet they were practically inedible, the mac and cheese was sweet and runny. The turkey legs are not smoked, they use liquid smoke. When you walk in there’s no smell of food cooking or anything “smoking.” Honestly, if you’re used to true southern soul food you will find this place disappointing.
Service - The lady who took our order was really nice.
Atmosphere - This is a takeout spot, but the waiting area is clean.

I had the stuffed turkey with greens and dressing and gravy with a side of sweet potatoes. The turkey and dressing was delicious 10/10. However I feel like they can cut back a little salt on the greens and sugar on the yams. Just a little less and it would have been a 10/10.

I ordered the turkey tips with garlic mash and rice. The rice and mash was good, but the tips were old and dry although it was covered in a lot of sauce.Kitchen employees were rude about the refund by having an unacceptable attitude I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go here bad customer service
