According to their website, they're kid friendly and before 9pm, you didn't have to be 21.Went on Saturday. Got there at 5:30 pm. We were turned away and told that it was 21+. They did say we were allowed to still spend money with them though. Very generous on their part. Mentioned twice while we were being turned away with our kids that we can still buy beer to go. I pointed out that their website said that 9pm was when it was 21+. They advised we always call ahead to go there. No worries. I'll never try to come back. Saves me some phone calls and you all still trying to sell me beer while turning me away. Maybe that's the kid friendly part? You can carry their beer in one hand while holding your kid's hand in the other.

Had a great time with my cousins at the drag Brunch! It was laid back, and so much fun! We can't wait to come back! The place is really pretty and the food was delicious ?
Before the spot burned down, this was my favorite neighborhood spot to visit for good beer and food. The food was always amazing. They served solid bar food and had some amazing dinner options. Also the atmosphere was really cool with the paintings and the windows into the brewery. They also had a wide variety of beer that they would come out with and rotate out seasonally, so it was always worth coming back to try the new beer they released. The parking was pretty good as there was a good amount of free parking near the venue.I talked with the owners and they are planning to reopen. I can't wait for them to come back!!
Twisted Hippo is a really fun spot in the Horner Park area. Cool atmosphere & decor, with a good variety of beer types. There always seems to be one on rotation to fit every palate. The food is really great. I appreciate that the kids meals are made properly w/quality ingredients instead of the lackluster staples you usually see. The deviled eggs, burger, & Mac n Chz are my favorites.Bonus: their rental space with vintage pinball games will win compliments galore if you are looking for a fun, unique event space. Totally worth it.
Solid brewery in a good location. The vibe was good the, food was good, the beer was good.
Love this place! I come here for the beer, but the food is great too.
Pros – the colors inside a very cheerful, there is ample seating, generally easy to find parking. Old fashions were delicious and the ordering app worked well. I like the payment system (what you see is what you pay, no tip needed).Cons - feels impersonal due to the ordering system. No one came around to explain the menu to us or offer suggestions on the beers. There were also a lot of children in the bar, I get that it's family friendly but it felt a bit like Chuck E. Cheese. Also a hamburger and pork sandwich took almost 40 minutes to come out on a Friday which seems excessive for a night when there wasn't even a wait for a table.
Love this place! Tasty food, unique beers, and super nice staff.
Good brew
