Started out great. Really good atmosphere and the bread they bring to the table was amazing. Went downhill from there. Service wasn't great. There were 4 of us and all 4 thought the pasta was mushy and bland. We alsked for salt but it didn't help. Can't recommend this place.

bread salt salt salt salt. This was, by far, the worst meal of 2024. First and last visit.

The service was great , but the food was okay. I had some Italian food in Italy in a mom and pop restaurant that was much better than this place for much less.
Fancy dining is not it anymore. The industry is more concerned about the look and ambiance experience than the food.

Wild boar ragu. Food was the worst meal we had in Chicago. Pasta was beyond salty (are the cooks tasting what they generate). Bread is complimentary. There is a 3% surcharge for any card based payment. I would not recommend given so many other great places in Chicago for fresh made pasta.

We always loved this place for the quality food, great service, and reasonable prices. But the huge hike in prices over the last year have kept us from coming back. Very disappointing.

Probably the best Italian in Old Town, they actually cook the pasta properly and the garlic bread is insane

Excellent little place for fresh Italian. You are met with a garlic bread round as soon as you place an order and it is delicious. We had lobster ravioli, buratta & tomatoes with house made limoncello. Outstanding.

Upscale dining vibe with extremely reasonable prices for food and drinks! You can tell the pasta is homemade and fresh, just like you’d expect an Italian grandma to make. I’d also be remiss if I didn’t mention they have by far the best table bread in Chicago. The Gnudi appetizer and Spaghetti Carbonara are to die for. Make sure to bring your appetite!

Started off strong with a delicious complimentary garlic bread and we also got burrata. I ordered the shrimp pesto pasta and the second I took the first bite I was unfortunately very disappointed - it completely lacked any seasoning/flavor and I had to ask for salt. The shrimp was overcooked as well and very rubbery. My boyfriend got the carbonara which was better but for the price you pay for these pasta dishes I would rather go elsewhere.

Great experience with the kids! Chicken nuggets and apples were perfect. Delicious pasta & glasses of wine were great quality and tasty. We will definitely be back!

Aside from the bread and the sausage, the food had little to no seasoning and was a great disappointment. So get a dish with the sausage. Or better, go to Topogigio where the food and service are great. The prices are very high for what you are getting...$36 for a dish of plain pasta (no sauce was evident) and with 3 small scallops was ridiculous. Service was not great, the waiter got the order wrong and avoided us after, so he never came back to check to see if the rest of our food was ok. We had to ask 3 different employees for help before we got salt, pepper and parmesan....all necessary to flavor the bland dishes. Nobody cleared the table for the longest time. We had to flag the waiter down for a 2nd round of drinks. It was a pretty full restaurant but not insanely busy and there was plenty of wait staff, the waiter was friendly but just not very attentive. It was not a re-do.
