Went to Starbucks UIC for the first time, and unfortunately, the experience was negative. My Impossible Breakfast Sandwich was completely out of place, with the sausage hanging out of the bun like it was just thrown together. My drink took over 10 minutes to make, and I watched the barista scroll on his phone, chat with coworkers, and move at a slow pace while customers waited.
I even asked for the drink unfinished just to get out of there on time. Also — no one cares about cute notes on the cups if the service isn’t professional or timely. Some of us are heading to work or class. A little urgency and care would go a long way.

This is the absolute worst Starbucks I’ve ever been to in my life. They took over 30 minutes to make me drink, while many of the staff they had there were goofing off and talking to customers. HORRIBLE customer service, many workers were mean and rude to customers even though there was an insanely long wait for drinks. Never ever go here.

Why is my Venti Cappuccino cap half empty? I paid for the full Venti size coffee, and I just got half of it! It's like that every single time at this location.

I don’t know what is going on with this location. It’s always been chaotic and the drinks aren’t always correctly made, but on my last three visits I’ve had to ask them to remake my usual drink. It’s supposed to come with four shots and they put in what looks like two—it’s like 24 ounces of oat milk with a tiny amount of espresso, and it looks and tastes gross. How do they not know their own recipes? To their credit, they remake drinks quickly and without argument, but it’s a waste of product and time that could be avoided if the drink was made properly in the first place. Please train your baristas better!

Waiting 15-20 minutes for a drink is ridiculous. There was no communication with each team member whatsoever. Drink said it was ready and I am still waiting about 15 minutes after for it. I asked for a refund because I was late to a meeting(I order wayyyy ahead at 3:49 and I got my drink at 4:15pm. Manager said there no refund for online like other locations. If I was the cooperate I would look into a better alternative how to handle online order and team members.

This Starbucks has no concern for food safety issues and management is not training the employees in these issues. I have worked closely with managers at other Starbucks locations in improving compliance with food safety practices. Management here asked me to leave when I voiced my concerns. I will not return - food poisoning is a risk I try to avoid. Personally, I believe this store should be closed permanently. The approach by management to my concerns does not comply with corporate policies on customer relations.

Ordered a venti size drink last time and there were only 3/4 of the drink, like the whole top was empty. Kind of disappointed bc why can’t you just fill the drink up to the top? So might as well just order a grande instead of a venti cause it’s more “cheaper”.
