Great place with amazing selection of specialty foods. You don't want to miss this place!

I lived in Ukraine not too long ago, working as an English teacher. Coming into this store feels exactly like stepping into a market in Odessa. They'll have all sorts of "weird" items that you would never find in Jewel or a typical bodega. But all specialty items all in one place! The first time I came here I was just on the hunt for pelmini, but I eventually found lots of other things that I ended up buying. Of course, I can't profess to "homesickness" but it really did bring back memories, whichever way you interpret them. Behind the display case adjacent to the register are prepared foods. Desserts and savory. It might require some bravery on your part to partake if you've never had some of the salty foods, but nevertheless they are available. The guy working there seems really friendly to me. I don't know if it's a cultural thing that gave [other Yelpers] the perception of unfriendliness but grow up, people aren't put on this earth to cater to all your unrealistic expectations. Glad they were able to stay open through the covidpocalypse.

I've got 2 cherry turnovers $3 each and found MOLD inside of them. I can't believe they sell food that is not fresh! I will never go there again. Beware customers!!! Don't get food poisoning!

Ticket from an elite yelp or that this place is awesome. I came in with my son on Sunday and the man/owner could not of been friendlier. Although he did speak broken English he was very kind and took his time to explain to my son what the different items were in the deli. We settle down a cookie and some piroski. I am totally sure I'm spelling that wrong but what those were right on top of the deli case and a serving pan wrap with saran wrap they look like heaven great sized sponge dry egg foo yong patties, they were filled with this pork and vegetables let me tell you they smelled incredible. The man was so kindly heated them up for my son my tire son took one to go before we got out to the car you said dad we need more. Again I want to over say that the owner of this place was very kind to us and if anyone wants to see a difference perhaps he has a bad day we all have them but an hour visit he was nothing less than stellar. We ordered six more of those pork stuffed buns and we will definitely be back even though it's a long drive for us over an hour. If you're looking for authentic Ukrainian deli food and Russian specialties this is a great place to go to thumbs up! A++

I've visited this place and felt very nostalgic. There is a big variety of Ukrainian and Russian foods. I gave 3 stars for that. I took away 2 stars because the food that they cook was pretty bad. Definitely not how you make authentic Ukrainian food. I was disappointed and had to throw it away.
