Umaga Bakehouse, located near SeaFood City, is a Filipino-American bakery that offers classic baked goods with a twist. The bakery is spacious, featuring a variety of bread and traditional desserts. Notable menu items include pork empanadas with longanisa taste and halo halo with carefully prepared saba, ube, and lanka. The bread is a highlight, described as the "softest, fluffiest, most pillowy" and fresh out of the oven. Customers praise the freshly baked senorita bread, which is hard to resist. The bakery's aroma is inviting, with a wide selection of pastries and snacks, including sweet and savory items sold by the piece or shareable. The pastry selection is impressive, with ube cake being moist and delicious, and ube pastries served warm with sweet butter being highly recommended. The shop offers a variety of Filipino treats, such as egg pie, which was well-liked, and other items like buko pie and halo halo, though some desserts like pichi pichi and puto bumbong are better heated before eating. The service is friendly, and the warm ambiance and attractive food displays make it a welcoming place. During busy times, it can get loud, but overall, Umaga Bakehouse provides delicious Filipino baked goods and desserts, making it a worthwhile visit for those seeking authentic treats or bread.
