I stopped in today specifically for the Ilocos empanada. I ordered one and ended up waiting about an hour since they cook them in batches. It was worth it though, the empanada was flaky and delicious, and the vinegar dipping sauce was excellent. It was slightly on the greasy side, but still very enjoyable overall.
I also picked up a cassava cake. It was good, just a little sweeter than I prefer (I make my own, so I’m probably biased since mine is a bit different).

The baked goods are decent, but they don’t quite live up to how they should truly taste. They’re not bad by any means, but compared to authentic Filipino baked goods, they lack that homemade, “grandma’s kitchen” quality. It feels more like a third-generation rendition of the classics. That said, it’s great to see other cultures enjoying and appreciating them as well.
Went here for my first time and asked the gal at the counter for a recommendation as it was my first time there. She recommended the senorita bread. It’s made fresh to order and is just a sweet sugary bread. I bought it for a client on their closing day. Him and his family LOVED it! 😊 I also tried the small tiny sweet breads they have on the far back of the store. I got the purple one (ube) and the pink filled one. Those were just okay and nothing special to rave about. But...
