We have been loyal customers of this sushi restaurant for over 10 years — long before the fire and COVID. Over the years, we have spent thousands of dollars here and truly considered it our favorite sushi place.
Last week, we placed an order of over $100, and in three pieces of sushi we found a crab stick still wrapped in plastic/cellophane. The piece of plastic was about the length of a thumb. The food was eaten by two families, including my 8-year-old child. I have clear photos and videos documenting exactly what was found.
The next day I called the restaurant, expecting an apology and concern for food safety. Instead, the manager was defensive and dismissive. He claimed the crab sticks come wrapped that way from the store, said that “things happen in the kitchen,” and even told me I was exaggerating, stating that no one could choke on a piece of plastic like that.
I did not call for explanations or excuses — I called for accountability and a sincere apology. Throughout the conversation, the manager minimized the situation and spoke over me, insisting he was “trying to explain,” rather than acknowledging a serious food safety issue.
Only after I clearly said that this response was unacceptable, that we would no longer order from them, that there are many other sushi places in the area, and would leave a negative review, did his tone change. Only then did he say he “wanted to apologize” and offered compensation of three sushi rolls, adding that they “cannot give more for free.”
As a manager, this situation could have been handled completely differently. A genuine apology, concern for customer safety, and respect would have gone a long way. Instead, a restaurant we loved for over a decade lost us as customers due to poor management and lack of responsibility.

They only do take out! And don’t be fooled with their pictures about menu either, there is no $21 unlimited per person.
I ordered sushi yesterday, 2 types one with the fried salmon where salmon was not cooked properly and 2nd with the raw salmon which was definitely not fresh. Anyway, I decided to wrote this because I had them for my dinner and I could sleep well, my stomach was hurting and it still hurts at 9 am in the morning.
So, hopefully I will save someone from poisoning themselves.
Then, the atmosphere was very weird too. The host said wait is 10 min, so I came back after 10 min and had to wait another 10 min in their entrance room. One of the sushi chef was looking at me very weirdly, I couldn’t read his face but it was a few time I catch his constant eye contact. Which I didn’t understand. And the atmosphere inside, they not even talking to each other, while host was on her personal phone someone came and just gave her constant look.
Like, what is happening in there. They said they are closed because of the covid. Well, Covid is gone already but this people are not talking and giving you the constant eye contact it’s seems very weird to me. They have like their own world in there.
Anyway, the most important was the food and I’m not satisfied with this either.
And they asking to sign receipt with the tips, like what for?! For me standing next to their plastic cover(Covid) and when I asked host if she can bring them to my car when it’s ready, which many places do, and she refused.

I ordered party tray which costs 60$. Need to say that quality lower that was before, and the variety was not enough tasty. Not recommended!

The sushi was quite good and prepared quickly. When they get more sushi chef, they'll open the dining room again. Take away was fine, but we would have rather dined out.

Seem to greedy to even open for dine in. Never bothered to open after COVID as if the world of dining ended for them!
Never answer their phone. Extremely hard to get a hold of and order.
