I never leave a review but this AMAZING restaurant deserves it! Honestly where is their Michelin star??? because it was FINGER LICKING GOOD - from the food, the drinks, the ambiance .. this now easily one of my top 3 restaurants in Chicago. I totally recommend their chilaquiles with carne asada added!! It is a bit pricey BUT sooo worth the price. Reservations are HEAVLYYYY recommended!! it is a small spot but well worth going!!

One of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in Chicago and I frequent this city a lot. The food is delicious and flavorful but the best aspect is the team. It’s family owned and they are so hospitable. Emily was the best server. Ooo and the drinks! Would recommend!

I stopped by Un Amor with my mom and had such a great experience! I tried their blackberry and dragonfruit margaritas (both were specials) and they were amazing. I also got two types of empanadas, a carne asada bowl, and chilaquiles de mole — everything was super flavorful, fresh, and came out looking beautiful.
Our server, Daniel, was super friendly and attentive, and the service was quick. We ended the meal with a cappuccino and tres leches — both were delicious and the perfect finish.
The prices were really fair for the amount and quality of food. I’d definitely recommend Un Amor for lunch or brunch. Mondays are the best time to go — not too crowded and such a nice way to start the week!

Got the banana french toast, a breakfast empanada, and the churro espresso martini and everything was incredible! The staff was friendly and efficient, and the restaurant itself was lovely. 10/10 experience, would absolutely recommend!

When we got there the place was pretty empty (2-3 small tables), nobody was waiting ahead of us, we weren’t greeted when we came in, and it took a while to get seated. It felt kind of awkward just standing there. Anyways, the bartender girl finally approached us with a big smile and sat us. There were four people working on the dining floor, and she was the only friendly one. I don’t really know who my waiter/waitress was because the 2 guys and 2 girls were all helping each other out I think, but since only that one girl that sat us was friendly and welcoming, I really wish I approached her and hand her the cash tip directly. food & prices:
The flavored drinks don’t really have the flavor that they claim, it just taste like normal bland coffee, but I thought it was still good. I just have high expectations for expensive drinks. The food portions are definitely smaller here than most (probably all) breakfast places, but I actually loved the small portions because I don’t want to feel like a big back anymore LOL. And I genuinely think the food was delicious!!. I enjoyed it, and the presentation was cute- HOWEVER, the prices for the small portions (in comparison to everywhere else) are INSANE. Be prepared to easily spend over $35 per person, on average. If the prices were more reasonable for the portion sizes given, I would definitely come back. I really love the portion sizes. But the prices are definitely too high for me to try to justify it, which sucks because I did truly enjoy my food!
Thank you to the only person working there with a smile on her face! Ur adorable! :)

Great neighborhood spot! We randomly popped in on a Sunday morning and were so pleasantly surprised. This will be our new go-to breakfast spot. The chilaquiles and enfrijoladas were delicious. The owner even came over to check in on us and ask how the food was. Family owned and operated.
