Hip and lively. The host/wait staff are super kind and funny; the downside is the volume of customer is likely what leads to slow service, which is important to some folks. Food tastes great. I ordered the Guatemalan breakfast, which I thought could have come with larger portions of the beans and plantains given the cost. My wife ordered the brisket bowl special and that came with an appropriate, healthy amount of food for the price. The winning order is the beef cheek empanadas with bone marrow. It’s like a beef patty but fattier and way more rich flavor. That’s a 10/10 given it’s only $5. We will certainly come back for the happy hour special (empanadas $3.50 + $8 margs).

I cannot put into words the taste. TRY THIS PLACE NOW. The empanadas are insanely good, the dishes are exquisite, and the horchata latte was the perfect touch.

This place has a very inviting ambiance they make you feel like family, but let's get down to the nitty gritty. The food is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend the skirt steak sandwich as it is an orgasmic experience of flavors bursting all over your taste buds. Now let's talk about the drank (yes, I said drank) it was made with much love by Karla. Try the Hibiscus Mezcalita and the Un Amor Espresso Martini, and it will have you feeling like it is easy, like Sunday morning.

This place is hands down the ultimate brunch destination in all of Chicago! The food was nothing short of exceptional, with an incredible variety of delicious options for both food and drinks. The menu caters to every palate, making it nearly impossible to choose just one dish. The atmosphere was vibrant and full of energy, thanks in part to DJ LordCrizr, who played the perfect mix of upbeat music during my Sunday visit.
The staff was warm, friendly, and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The owner even made the rounds to check on tables personally, which was a fantastic touch and showed true care for the guests’ experience. The restaurant was spotless, and every detail was well thought out. We couldn’t resist ordering way more than we needed, and we left in a blissful food coma, completely satisfied and already thinking about our next visit.
The other patrons seemed to be having an equally amazing time, adding to the lively and joyful ambiance. All in all, this place has a wonderful vibe, and I can’t wait to come back for another memorable brunch!

Was brought here by a friend in September and was blown away at such a great place in my neighborhood, I've since been here 5x haha and brought everyone I can. Hospitality, food and vibe are all 10/10. Need to visit again asap for dinner and HH :)
Great hospitality and mind blowing empanadas! Seriously those empanadas are addictive, interesting flavors for toppings and perfect crunch! Un Amore has very good brunch options, nice atmosphere and quick service. Definitely highly recommend!

This place is lovely!! Family business where everyone was incredibly kind. The flavors are bangin! Empanadas are crispy and flavorful! The ube horchata late was delicious and beautiful! Churro French toast was crispy and didn’t need syrup because the ice cream is a perfect compliment. The spice on the chicken sandwich was also perfect heat!

Stopped in for brunch after reading so many fantastic reviews. Space is bright, open, clean, and comfortable. A noticeably large staff provided quick, extremely friendly service. Ordered the steak sandwich - absolutely phenomenal! Comes with skirt steak, hard boiled eggs, melted chihuahua cheese, mayo, and a fresh., garlicky chimichurri. Loved it! Can’t wait to return for more Latin favorites

The service was friendly and efficient, and the food was not only beautifully presented but also came out quickly, which is always a plus.
I was really impressed by the menu – lots of interesting dishes caught my eye. I’m already planning to come back and try a few more! It's the kind of spot you could easily make a regular part of your dining routine.
