Uncle Joe's seems to be closed for business & none of the phone numbers are working. This was my go to spot for jamaican food but now I patronize J*** Ur Soul which is located on: 1442 W 103rd St, Chicago, IL 60643. Their food is very good!!

The did was dry, asked for extra gravy and didn't get any, ordered 2 whole and got 2 halves. Sweet potatoes were dry and cabbage juice spilled on everything (in a styrofoam instead of plastic lid container) A waste of money. Will not come here again.

Personally for me, since I prefer the wings, I have learned to call first to make sure they have the wings opposed to being disappointed and surprised going there and they do not have the wings for the rest of the day. So for my last visits, I call in first , verify the wings are available and order ahead of time before driving 40 miles to Chicago. :) If the wings are not available, (happened once Dec 30th 2017) was in Chicago for other purpose), I just go back home :).update 3/7/2018... I returned March 7th 2018 as I had placed my order an hour ahead of time... I arrived and my order was ready and accurate with barbecue sauce on the 6 wings with fries (2 orders). Thank you.I have updated the rating as promised just as the delicious barbecue wings were served to me as promised.The last few times I have driven 40 miles east from the suburbs and they do not have the chicken wings special (6 wings with fries). Their excuse each time, they don't have wings even when I arrived by 1PM. This is similar to what happened long ago with Kingston on 95th near Western but they shut down. Maybe this one will too.Also one time I arrived just before opening time of about 12 Noon and the doors were locked and not open. They did not open until close to 1PM (I waited a while then left to perform other errands and came back about 2PM). Not prompt and at times just don't have what is supposedly on the menu and give excuses, they could not even tear the wings off of whole chickens to help prepare the 6 wing special for me. Only 3 chickens could have been sacrificed to satisfy the customer who is always right.I revisited the place and placed my order 1 hour ahead of time.When I got there, my order was ready and I decided to order anotherset of 6 wings .. the only issue I had is they did not give me the barbecuesauces I had requested for both orders. I am increasing my review ratingby 1 star until further notice (goal to give 3 stars )update on top

I think even when you get free cooked food it should be hot The Taste the flavor was great but it was need to be hot

Parking lot was extremely dark, I ordered my food and got there a hour before closing,my food was cold old and nasty! Very disturbing. I threw it in the garbage, will not be going back. They have changed.

Listen, Uncle Joe's is THE TRUTH! I'll post pics next time. The cashier suggested the lunch portion which was perfect and still had a little left for a snack. I had the Oxtails meal and it was quite yummy, my husband had the j*** wings meal...another yummy vote.

I usually go to the Hyde Park location but took a chance on Vincennes. The experience on Vincennes wasn’t good but I’ve since talked to the manager and he’s doing the right thing so I am editing my original review.
So good I had to come back the next day for their cabbage.

The female that answered the phone was so rude, I canceled my order. After reading all the other reviews about how bad the food has gotten, I'm so happy her horrible customer service made me cancel my order. Customers are more willing to give a restaurant a second chance if the food is a little off once, more so than rude customer service.
