Uncle Joe's Jerk Chicken Hyde Park

The Customer Service is very poor, the cashier told me I was doing her a favor not having to explain the menu. I do not recommend Uncle Joe’s Jerk Chicken Restaurant to anyone! Operating a restaurant in a well diverse neighborhood across the street from Kenwood H.S., the service is terrible and the food sucks! Not a great look at all!

Bad. This place use to be so good. I had not been in over a year before a week or more ago and my bill was 40.00 for a jerk dinner extra side and 2 tings. The price is not the issue but so when you get home to eat: the chicken looks and taste old not jerked well at all...bland. The rice and beans tasted old as well. And for me is what makes it worse is that I was telling a new customer how good the food is, and it was bad! I will not be coming back. I felt so bad that I told the new customer how delicious Uncle Joes is to find out that is no more.

Very nice young lady working the front counter every time I come in greets you and speaks every time with a smile. Food is delicious and always tasty.

Sister Soulja. The dryest chicken ever. I've had crackers moister than their white meat. Don't eat it alone. U might need the Heimlich. ??‍♂️

Ordered catfish dinner the fish was very bland dry and taste like it was cooked the day before very disappointing I spent $25 on the catfish dinner the macaroni was tasteless and the yams weren’t even good .. money down the drain ! Very disappointing

I was being very generous with the one star The food was horrible. I purchased lunch plate dinner tacos. I ordered the red beans and rice. It was rice with gravy. The taco was cold. The jerk chicken was horrible over all. That’s a place. I would never visit again. I would advise anyone stay away from uncle Joe’s. I support black owned business small black owned business but this is a place. I cannot support again.

Wow! What happened to Uncle Joe's Jerk chicken. This place was the best that I ever had until he closed the restaurant on 47th & King Dr. What I thought was the boom! Just bought this chicken a few minutes ago. It's freaking garbage! Chicken is always dry, it doesn't even have the season that it once had. Cabbage is like whewww garbage. Now, what even happened to the jerk sauce?? I'm so upset. I want my money back!! None of this food is good. $31.42 is wasted because I can't eat this. A whole white and cabbage. I really think Uncle Joe's is secretly sold to someone else.

Uncle Joe’s is not what it used to be. The food is overpriced for the quality. The quality is horrible. The plantain was burned the chicken was dry and the rice was mush. The oxtails were chewy. It was really disappointing.
