Uncle Remus SFC - Central & Madison

My experience was great surprisingly there Was no loitering in or outside. The wings was small, but the sauce now and hot was delicious.

BEST FRIED CHICKEN IN CHICAGO NO DOUBT!!! A true treasure to the west side! In my opinion better than harolds! And my order always comes out quick! And the mild sauce is outstanding! 🔥🔥💯💯

Oooh that was terrible. $20 for 6 wings that were small and dry. I've been going there for years and whenever I come back to the neighborhood, I make sure I support. The last 3 times were bad but this time was terrible. You've lost a long time customer.

Remus Chicken is amazing. I appreciate the staffs and managers kindness to me even though I have autism and their food is amazing and really good. Owner Charmaine is very nice and GM Diamond is very nice. The restaurant is in good condition. Amazing chicken. Must come back. 10/10.

I'm a Southsider that usually visit Harolds for fried chicken, but lately its been hit or miss, I haven't had the opportunity to get Uncle Remus in a couple of years & I have to say Uncle Remus was the bomb & shall I say better than Harolds!

I just ordered Ubereats from Uncle Remus.in Madison. The chicken barely had sauce on it. 😲🙄😳😗🤨 It’s usually soaked with good barbecue sauce. It DID NOT look or taste like chicken from Uncle Remus. Also I ordered a rib tip and fish combination. They gave me the wrong combination- no rib tips but more chicken with old looking fish. That’s not what I ordered so I reached out to uber and they refunded me for the combination.

Uncle Remus you can’t change someone’s order and give them what they didn’t order and expect to keep their money. You could have at least called me to see what I wanted if you didn’t have more rib tips instead of sending me extra chicken that I didn’t order. Unacceptable Uncle Remus!!!!!! Get Mixed G-pan with extra mild sauce is fire! Cant leave without a 10pc wings fried hard with mild sauce to top it off! Get there early on Sunday's before ppl get out of church!

I went to the store off of Central & Madison. This was my first time ever eating Uncle Remus. I ordered the chicken gizzard with mixed sauce and fried okra. Everything was alright except that they fried my okra too hard. But, the customer service was great. I will definitely be eating there again soon.

Ten years ago we loved this place! I would get food for my family that came from out of town. But now, the chicken stinks and smells like it’s been in the walk-in cooler for months drowned in a mild sauce. And I waited 15 minutes for this? I should’ve went to the McDonalds in Oak Park. That’s my fault!
