Good dumplings, beautiful space, really nice people.

Great dumplings but the overall experience needs work. The dumplings are made to order and their wrapper is better than Qing Xiang Yuan's. I'd strongly suggest skipping the buns — the filling flavor was off, and they were too thick.

The layout is a mess. The entry area is a wasted space with ordering kiosks and sparse seating. Then there's seating right by the bathroom, and the final indoor area is tiny. I get that opening a new restaurant is tough and renovations are costly, but the whole place feels makeshift and poorly designed.

You also have to bus your own tables. Service is almost non-existent, making the 15% minimum pre-set tip outrageous. There are too many fast-food style screens loudly announcing order statuses.

I'm giving three stars for diversifying the Lincoln Square area and for that excellent dumpling wrapper. I really think they needed more time to improve the restaurant's flow and execution.

Such tasty dumplings!! Very excited to have a solid dumpling place in the neighborhood. The Pork / Shrimp / Chive were our favorites

The vibes and atmosphere were great. Service was outstanding, very hospitable and the staff were available to make recommendations. We had an infant and they arranged for a high chair as soon as we walked in. But best of all were the dumplings, which were spectacular. By far the best dumpling spot in the neighborhood. We liked the pork and chives best but they were all delicious. Would recommend!

Heard about this new dumpling spot from a friend. As someone who travels to China Town for fresh dumplings I was happy that there is a place close to me that opened up.

As you can see, the picture I posted is of the chili oil & vinegar sauce only because I DEMOLISHED the dumplings so fast I didn’t even have time to take a picture lol!!

I definitely like the pan fried dumplings a lot, the steamed ones were good as well but the bit of crispiness from the pan fry gave it that extra flair.

Opened only a few days ago, I’m sure they have kinks to work out like every new restaurant does.

Stop by & show your support to a new local business. Love me some fresh food handmade to order!

Paid a visit recently and they were great! Was greeted warmly upon entering and we ordered for takeout at their kiosk. The wait for the food was about 15 minutes, give or take, which was not bad at all considering how good the food was once we tore into it immediately upon arriving home. My only recommendation is that if you order the crispy pork bites, to eat it right away because they did become slightly soggy during transit and were not at its crispiest once we got to them. But overall, fantastic experience trying out a new location with good food and good service. Cheers!

I live nearby and my family loves dumplings so we tried this place out. Ordered just before 6pm and took close to an hour to get any food, as a couple other reviewers from yesterday have mentioned. The place was pretty empty but there was apparently a large party that ordered just before us (but weren't present yet) that seemed to back everything up as no other orders were being put out. And once their food was done and we got ours, the party showed up and was a bit rude. The food was cooked fine but the dumplings were kind of bland (we got 4 different kinds in addition to other dishes). The most flavorful things were the seaweed and the spicy wontons. Hopefully things improve but probably going to be a long while before we give it another shot as there are just too many good places around to waste the time and money for ho-hum food.

The lamb and cilantro was our favorite! They are just getting started so be patient with them, but the food is undeniably good.

Was looking forward to trying this place based on reviews but did not have a good experience! It is set up as a fast food/counter service (there is no service really) but we sat at a table and waited for 45 minutes. Even though we ordered a drink, that was not served to us until we got the food, so we just sat with no drinks/snacks for 45 min which is a long time for a place that is set up as an order on own/seat yourself place! The dumplings also were sub par and too heavy on cilantro (had the chicken/cilantro) and my family left dissatisfied and having to make another meal when we got home! Unfortunately we won’t be going back!

There is no way to know how long your order will take before you place it. Maybe 15 min, maybe an hour. Mine took 52 min. Until then you just sit and wait. The dumplings are pretty good. Same as any good dumpling at any Chinese restaurant. Some are better than others.

They technically haven't even opened yet and my wife is already excited when I suggest eating here. The food can take a while to make, but it's made fresh, so it's worth it. Just budget a little extra time on the wait or order ahead.

I tried the lamb dumplings and they were okay. I think this restaurant should consider offering meals - something to go along with the dumplings instead of just only dumplings. I also think 12 dumplings for $18 is a bit pricey. As far as the ambiance, the first quarter of the restaurant is the three kiosks to order. Definitely a grab and go place. I can't say I'll be back again but it was nice to try it.

Ventured into Union Dumpling House during their soft opening. OMG these are some of the freshest, cleanest dumplings & dishes I’ve had! You can watch them making dumplings fresh per order! Particularly loved the
🥟 Chicken & Mushroom - steamed, create your own dipping sauce with a combo of soy sauce, vinegar, & chili oil
🥟 Chive & Egg - abundantly fresh chives with fluffy egg, pan fried
🍘 Beef & vermicelli steamed buns
🌊 Seaweed salad
🍄‍🟫 Wood Ear mushrooms
🥛 Fresh chilled soy milk

Because they make everything fresh and are still in their soft opening, give yourself a little extra time for the meal. It’s totally worth it!
