I went in around 10:00 AM for a coffee. This place is cozy. Comfortable nice place to get business done on your computer. The latte was really good. And at night it transform into a lounge pretty cool. ☕️am 🍹🥂🍻pm

Great spot for a morning coffee and pastries. Evenings are great vibes with DJs playing and the best Espresso Martini I've ever had!

Nice vibe, not too busy, reasonably priced. Came on a frigid Sunday night to watch the Bears game. Owner brought some chips and warmed up chili for everyone. It's too bad we lost, but it was a fun time, and they had some karaoke after to lighten the mood.

Visited last weekend with a couple of friends and honestly, this place managed to be bad in every possible way.
We walked in around 9 pm on a Friday—place was maybe half full, so not even busy. It still took 18 minutes to get acknowledged by anyone working there. When the bartender finally looked our way, he just gave a half-hearted head nod and went back to talking to his coworker. No “be right with you,” no smile, nothing.
Drinks arrived after another eternity, and they were wildly overpriced. $16 for a basic vodka soda? $19 for what tasted like a watered-down gin & tonic? For reference, the same drinks are $11–12 literally two blocks away at better spots.
The glasses were visibly dirty—lipstick marks on one, something crusty on the rim of another. The bar top itself was sticky, and the floor around the stools had that gross layer of spilled drinks + who-knows-what that makes your shoes peel off the ground with every step.
Bathroom was next-level disgusting: no soap, no paper towels, overflowing trash, and a smell that hit you before you even opened the door. One of the stalls was straight-up out of order with caution tape that looked like it had been there for weeks.
We stayed for one (painfully slow) round and left. The whole experience felt like the staff genuinely did not care if customers ever came back.
There are hundreds of bars in this city. Pick literally any other one. This place is a hard pass—overpriced, unclean, indifferent service, and zero redeeming qualities.

Really a rude environment. The food and drinks were not good, and they keep their music way too loud until 2am even when asked to lower it the refuse. They’re too expensive for the poor environment and poor quality food and drinks

I've walked by this place many times and noticed that they now offer coffee shop beverages. I tried the White Chocolate Raspberry Mocha. It is handcrafted to order with white chocolate syrup, espresso, topped with whipped cream and dried raspberries. The bartenderista was friendly. It's nice to have an alternative coffee shop in the neighborhood!

Its the off the beaten path,
It is the local

The're is a stool for you. I cant say it was my space , but im not uptown , im edgewater.
It was clear that i wasnt a regular.
But the Staff did their best to make me feel welcome with the you need to come by more nd youll be solid.

The music was loud the lights said dance to me but i didnt see a space for it.
That said people that i saw were dancing in there seats nd the music wasnt a house beat in repitions. Which for the record is not house. One metro gnomb hehehe is not Chicago house. It college dj nepo.
This bar wasnt havent that.
Easy to get to Red line to Lawrence or park on Sheridian.
Tip well nd tell them badmonkeyking sent you.

Uptown Lounge is the perfect neighborhood spot. They have something going on both day and night. I absolutely love their new coffee shop in the morning. I had the best cappuccino there I've ever had. The baristas are so nice. They greet me by name each time I walk in. The atmosphere is so warm and beautiful. Perfect for reading a book while enjoying my coffee. On Mondays they have open mic with such great talent. And it's free too. It's not just a young crowd but for us old folks too. My hubby and I like to have our date nights here. So happy they are part of our community. Very important to support our local businesses! And this is a great one to support. Kudos to the owners 👏

Uptown lounge is a great place to get together with friends for a good time but also cool to go there on your own for many of their weekly events and specials. I personally enjoy the open mics hosted by Nick who is a great musician and an even better host. I also REALLY enjoy grabbing a cup of coffee and a pastry when I can as they are also a cafe during the day from 7am (I think) to 1pm every day. The coffee is delicious and the vibe there is incredible for getting some computer work done. I highly recommend it. Lastly, the prices are all very reasonable. Support your local spots!
