Super cool coffee shop. Reminds me of the cafes in Italy where you can grab a great coffee in the morning and a good cocktail at night. Good location. Stopped here while I was visiting and wish we had something similar back home. Was fast, delicious, friendly service and was a good place to work for awhile. Highly recommend this neighborhood coffee shop!

Security was gross and discriminatory. Went in w my friend and security busted in the bathroom saying he wasn’t supposed to be there. His ID was checked at the door and. We were in th br v shortly. If you’re loookont for a bar that’s LGBTQ+ friendly this is not it.

I used to think of this place for drinks before and after the Riv or the Aragon, and it's still the BEST place for those! Super close to both venues, and RIGHT near the Lawrence stop on the Red line CTA. Open until 4 AM, it's still got that going for it! Really great drink specials - a Chicago Handshake for $8?! What!
But now . . . Ohmygawd! This place has morphed into a Really Great Bar! Updated interior, and it is SWANK. Really nice booths, a VIP room and BIG windows to enjoy during good weather. Perfect for day drinkin'! It's a real neighborhood bar, as we chatted some people who lived nearby the day we were in there. We live in the neighbhood too, so really glad to see this place all sharp!!
Great beer selection, and all the booze, high to low, for your imbibing pleasure.
The coolest thing is their new coffeeshop feature in the mornings! This is such a Euro vibe - coffee in the mornings, cocktails after 4 PM! Since they open now at 7 AM for coffee, it's an easy pop off the train, grab coffee and continue downtown.
Open 7 AM to 4 AM, do the owners EVER sleep!? *grin*
Lots of love and hard work has gone into this place, it's looking great, spotless clean bathrooms, LOTS of cool events, great staff.

Great coffee bar in the mornings!! I love the lattes here, but really can't go wrong with any of their coffee/pastries.
We already loved Uptown Lounge as a bar and now we're so excited for another walkable coffee shop!! It's so close to the Lawrence L stop and the 81 line.
All of the staff are so friendly and they have a cool punch card deal!

Extremely weird vibe. We went in and we were very kind and patient and waited for 20 minutes for service even though there were only 10 people in the bar. We were thoroughly ignored for all of that time. Except for when we left. Nobody could bat an eye at us when we were there waiting to order but when we left, they said “thanks have a good night. “
I just didn’t really understand what the point was to be honest. It felt like the 80s when bartenders ruled the roost and you kind of just deal with whatever they throw at you. But it’s 2025 so we just went somewhere else.

Moved to the city like 3-4 years ago & I honestly I like this cute little place use to see Ron performing here . Recently there’s now a new owner & they decided to have a little morning coffee shop going on which is convenient since the redline by it finally opened up. But I really like the vibe! Keep supporting your local businesses everyone! They deserve all the love & help!
