We’re on our way to The Green Mill for a show and looking for a place to grab a bite and a beer beforehand. Nearby is the Uptown Taproom so we decided to give it a try. Cheerful hello from the bartender when we walked in. Always a good sign. Nice menu and beer selection. College football on both bar tvs, so husband is a happy.

I love Taproom and the adjacent multipurpose. From appetizers to the burger specials and sweet potato fries, it's very delightful. Make sure you get a indie or micro brew to top it all of for the perfect experience.

The 2nd time I have visited the Uptown Tap. 1:00 pm on a Saturday and very empty. Had a few beers and ordered lunch. The chicken sandwich was over cooked and barely visible on the bun. 2.5 stars overall for me.

Very comfortable atmosphere. Seems like there are a lot of regulars because the staff greets people (and dogs) by name. I luckily stopped in for Happy Hour. Pours were 20% off ($7.20ish a draft). I had parmesan truffle fries but the parmesan was commercial powder and I couldn't taste the truffle, but I'll try the cheese curds next time. People around me really seemed to enjoy the tacos. There are also menu items that can be made vegan. And simple plant based substitutes for vegetarian with Beyond patties and chorizo, which I appreciate and those substitutions are their own menu items, not an up-charge. Very friendly staff and kind patrons.

Very cozy restaurant, very laid back and nice. the burgers here are TOO GOOD!!! honestly one of the best burgers i’ve had in a very long time!!!! definitely surprised me! i would definitely come back, i felt comfortable.

It's not uncommon that a bar doesn't have great food but my review will only be about the food as we can't drink. If you come here and expect good food you won't be pleased. I'm sure their drinks are great but my boyfriend got their fries and they were cold and unsalted. Our chicken burgers had the smallest little piece as shown in the picture, the chicken also had no seasoning. Otherwise would heavily reccomend the cheese curds but that's like their most notable appetizer for a reason. Ceaser salad was pretty decent, croutons seasoned nicely. Atmosphere is good as the staff are nice and friendly and they play decent stuff on the tvs. Overall just another bar that banks on their drinks making the food taste good in that headspace.

I was able to get a last minute booking (1.5 weeks out) for such an affordable price! The contact was super responsive and I couldn't be more grateful.
